Yomi chan the well spoken and sweet heart of the heni girls is also the one with the most tools at her use. How can she use all these and still keep her girlish figure well lets find that out now.
Since Yomi has so much stuff I will be listing off alot of attacks and most of there multiple uses.
Yin mode / non turn over form
Characters like Haruka and Yomi are the most fun to use because they have options off of almost everything and you will always find something new out with them because of all the moves. Yomi is no diffrent and while she is much slower the Haruka she has just as many options.
Sword down position and movment - In this stance her normal stance is the best way and quickest way to attack with Yomi and move around on the ground. because of her large sword when moving around it will hit enemies anyway but with it down it lets you do dash after dash move and keep her moving while attacking and not have to worry about the slow sword swing moves that comes with her style.
Air Y attack canceling - This is her fastest air attack and kinda works like Daidouji where once the first hit connects you can go off in quick air slash attacks with no down side like you get with grounded attacks.
Sword - YYY is Yomi's basic combos but her Y attack cancel works a little diffrent from others as it is multi hitting and once you master the movment you can do them consistant and gt a good combo going off a simple move. Her Sword moves once transformed gets crazy and all over the place so I will save that for later.
Gun- Yomi's gun or YYXX the second X is for her charge shot that can be controlled if you turn away from the direction you want it to go then pperform the move and during the charge at the last minute turn around and dash. This will give you a slower moving charge shot that you can dash ahead of and still attack. The shot keeps the same properties of a luncher so if it hits an enemy you can press A to go after them anywhere you are on the screen. Her single shot or YYX is good for setting up her second ninpou at extremely long ranges.
Bomb - Yomi's bombs are used in many over her later attacks when you transform but in it basic form it can be use to set a trap for grounded enemies. If anyone is on the grounnd near yomi all you have to do is press X for the bomb wait for her to get the bomb out the A to dash forward then X for another bomb over and over. not many can attac her or get out of this because of the explostion from the bomb and the dash makes her hard to hit. This is good agains bosses.
As for Yomi herself in this form her dive attack is bad and her limit break has no range so those are not things you can loook forward to.

Once Yomi is transformes its like opening another options menu there is just so much to her that I can't even get in to it all but I will highlight her new spining attack thats a great addition to her moves and her new bomb options in combos. Yomi's Ninpou's while not the best in the game are made to be used for situations and not just for fun. Her first Ninpou where she slashes down with her long sword while not that multi hitting is good enough and can kill things when you need to. Again its just there no real follow up can be had after you use it. Yomi's air ninpou Is for crowd control simple as that there is nothing fancy again no follow up just an attack to get enemies off of you on all sides. Her second ground ninpou is strong but needs some set up because its very linear and you will have to use your normal gun to set up a good shot to get maz damage. this is the same thing Mirai has to do as well for her ninpou. So all in all still great just with more options since all the stuff listed in the first part carrys over.
Senran mode / secret art unlock
In this form Yomi gets a new set of moves and it is like fun all over again she gets a new spinning sword attack that leads in to a new jumping sowrd attack that can be canceled in to manual combos. More gun attacks in strings as well as a new bomb option. Only thing that sucks her her movment and your ability to get hit is so highter now that it would be best to fall back on air Y attack canceling because her attacks can be too slow for large crowds and her limit break can not be abused like other to gain meter and even then her ninpou does not leave her in an advantage if there are enemies around and in this form these factors have to be added in now. Even wth that said she is still fun to use.
Yang mode / Bikini form
For those that wanted hack and slash with a chick with a sword and little clothes this is the version of yomi for you. in this form all her attack are strong and you can just hack and slash the problem is when you get hit you may be dead because Yomi is lacking alot of tools in ths form. Nurfed and bad limit break. one good ninpou (air). And just bad movment all around. In this form you want to play her more slow and like mirai and use her ranged attacks and not go in until you have some ninpou to save you when enemies come at you from all sides. With the power of the air ninpou it because an abusable tool that you will need more then anything for all it does, problem is always keeping Yomi charged up and ready. also you should be jumping alot when moving around because like I said its an air ninpou so you need to be off the groudn to use it. does not matter the height as when you are in danger you can the ninpou and clear the screen.
Thats was alot but then again Yomi is alot of fun to use and is easily one of the best in the game. She does not have the crazy air movement like alot of characters but the areas she controls there is just no getting by her.
