I finished watching all 12 episodes of the anime in a few hours, and I've wondered whether or not there were plans to continue the series. I know there are some anime series that run for one season, but is this planned to be one of them?

There currently aren't plans for a second season that we know of.

It was used to advertise Shinovi Versus. It did very well at doing that and it's a great game adaption anime. No second season planned unless they want to advertise more in the future.
