I know it seems silly, but I dread the day when I'm too old for anime. Well, I guess not too old, but to the point where I appear as an old weirdo who likes Senran Kagura and the like. Sigh. I'm not too sure what I'm going to do then.

So? You can enjoy anime at any age. If anyone judges you for your interests then they really aren't worth your time. Plus, being a weirdo is great!

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
― C.S. Lewis

Simply put if you enjoy something, don't let others judgement take it from you. I remember being a kid and older people thinking I was "too old" for video games at 13! Glad I never listened.

A couple of my friends once said to me back when we were in school, we WILL have to grow out of videogames eventually.....but the question is, why? why do you have to grow out of videogames? Because it's childish? because you have to? why would you need to give up your hobby? When you start to question these things it all sounds pretty stupid if you ask me.
Look, man. Live for you, not for anyone else. Life on this planet is pretty short as it is, why not spend it doing the things you love in life? If you give up the things you love or enjoy doing, then you will only end up regretting it later, it's time lost that you will never get back.
The time to give something up is when it isn't fun anymore. Always go by that, you have to do what makes you happy in life, not what other people are doing. People come and go but what you love is a part of you, if people look at you weird for being passionate about what you love, then they, themselves have yet to grow up.
Being mature is all about mentality, people learn at different times in their lives, some people take longer to mature than others, some people never do. Being able to respect people, know matter who they are or what they like, is what growing up really is, not the stigma that surrounds certain type of people, hobbies, ECT.
What really is growing up to the average person? having a family? going through divorce? messing your life up and losing your job? Turning to alcohol or drugs as an escape from their problems?....lots of people out there go through it and in all honesty...I would rather be called a loser or be looked at as weird than go by some sort of crappy social acceptance.
Be free, live for your own happiness not anyone else's. <3

First, I am pretty oldf** to be at here. I have my own job and I am very loved by my partners , I do not get the greatest payment for now, but I am happy for the things I have but I do want to improve to get more currency.
Do you like to draw as much as me, a psychologist said at me that was very good for your mind and spirit, do the things you want and like. I draw pretty much when I am stressed and that feel when you are relaxed when you do that is satisfactory. I know pretty much people that have no hobbies, activities or something to escape to their realities that finally is bad for their health.
At least at my case I have friends that even have children and are even responsible with that. Until at this day we still like to play videogames , watch anime and always end talking about that because we grew with those things.
My close friends even knows that I draw lewd girls, but they never said something awful about that, at finally they know how I am at real life, even I am very respectful with girls. Finally everyone has fantasies.
Enjoy your life as it is. Draw a lot, improve that, your heart will feel good. If you are an adult you will know how separate things, your near people know how you are. Enjoy Senran Kagura until it last.

Man. I really wish I could give out advice that was at your guys's level. In a way, I feel bad that your talents were wasted on a problem as silly as mine when there are more serious problems that others have, but in a way, I'm glad you all took a bit of your time to help me overcome this struggle of mine.
It's amazing what a game based on fan service can do for us all. Thanks!

Ah, It's no biggie. I can't speak on anyone else's behalf, obviously.... but I love to help out when i can with anyone's problems. Seriousness or not, it's always nice to talk over your feelings and problems with others. I really enjoy helping everyone when i can so it's no worry. I do it so often these days since I'm not doing much in my normal life right now that helping people has become a daily thing. Making others happy, makes me happy....y'know? ^_^ Anyway, I'm glad i could help, if you ever need someone to talk to just give me a bell. Everyone needs an ear now and again. Stay safe and I'll see you around

I remember a stage when I tried to be "adult" and honestly I wasn't happy doing much of that stuff. When I stopped desiring approval of others and just enjoyed my nerdy life I found happiness and true friends.
