I rarely get sick, but when I do, it's usually minor colds that aren't severe enough for me to not go to work or school, though they can take about 2-3 days to completely go away. I'm glad it's usually nothing serious. A lot of the cold I get are like that but the flus are a completely different story. ~ Same as BlackJak. Though I do get allergies a lot, they're more of an annoyance to me than anything heheh. I have allergies as well, but they usually are worse during the summer and spring because I'm allergic to pollen primarily. I am a bit curious though what are you allergic to? ~ Gonna sound like a broken record, but I rarely get sick. A minor cold 1 or 2 times a year. Last major flu was 5 years ago. To all who have an ailment, I hope you get well soon. Here: A tissue for your issue. That's really nice nice to hear! I'm happy you don't get sick very often either. Around where I live things commonly spread pretty fast so large groups of people being sick is gonna be common with it being fall and winter approaching. ~ I'm noticing the older I get the less I get sick. I used to always get sick. Same. I actually did get ill a lot more the younger I was but it's still to an odd amount today, I would guess. I have an extremely strong immune system (maybe since I've never taken antibiotics?) so I don't get sick often and it never lasts more than a few days. I've only had a fever like three times, too. My parents raised me on "homeopathic" medicine, and even though I know it doesn't really work the placebo effect is still enough to keep me healthy. Well, that and like 30 vitamin supplements, my mom's a nutrition nerd. That's really interesting. I kinda wonder if I'd have been better off on what your parents do then what I do because I know I used to take antibiotics but they usually had little effect on me. All I pretty much rely on are the cough drops and resting a little more. ~

I also appreciate all the answers!
It's interesting to know this because I know for me being sick is sort of a common thing as it happens often but hopefully something will cut that amount down a bit. ~

I'm allergic to everything apparently, haha.
Well, it depends. Weather, cotton, dust, animal fur...doesn't help when you have asthma too.

I see. I used to have to take medications for a general allergy to like.. Dust/ dirt, hair. Never had asthma though but my sister used to have it (but it disappeared around the time she turned 15 or so for some reason I can't explain.)

I'd say the secret is vitamin c and 9 hours of sleep Vitamins in general are very important and sleep too indeed. I've been on and off being sick for a while due to stress making it more difficult to properly take in vitamins, and a lack of proper sleep. Both of those do wonders in keeping your immune system okay.

When I was younger, I'd get a horrible sore throat every single time I had a loose tooth. No doctor was ever able to explain it but it happened every time without fail.
Also a spoonful of honey is very good for coughs.

It's really interesting to know all this. I've been getting into drinking different kinds of teas more, started myself back up on vitamins and have been trying harder on sleeping better do hopefully it'll do some good for me and I can stop getting sick so much. {it's actually a little funny cause I'm sick now anyway.}

I don't think I've gotten sick once since I started adding about a tablespoon of garlic powder to my meals about 9 months ago. Not all at once, but throughout the day. I really really love garlic.
I think it's the reason I made it through flu season with everyone in my house getting sick. I've never taken flu shots, and I normaly get sick with a cold at least once every 6 months, but so far I feel fine!

I used to get strep throat almost constantly. I think I got it at least 5 times in one year at some point. Oddly enough, one day, it just kind of...stopped, and I've been pretty healthy since.

If I don't get the flu atleast once a year it usually means something really bad's going to happen to me later during the year. So I guess I get ill pretty often, especially when I go to a chilly country, not really used to cold weathers.
