ASUKA! Don't throw your swords at the enemy!!
UE4 project update:
implemented basic version of "death" no special camera animation, but it has the option to restart level or quit to homeroom.
for asuka it even plays a randomized game-over voice line, and the level failed music from the game.
(not yet implemented "death state" for Ikaruga though. nor have I implemented a "win state" xD so if you beat the one enemy you can't leave the stage yet.)
fixed a few texture bugs
fixed a few character related bugs
fixed UI/Menu related bugs
tried to record a video but did a silly and messed up my recording. will try and record a new progress video showing off the new stuff later.
SFM Update:
still have issues with the 3ds max stuff on my new machine, and can't seem to get them resolved at all... using 3ds max at all on the new machine seems to be a bother, silly Autodesk not futureproofing their software and supporting 4k screens *grumble grumble grumble* (it's so stupid that even when setting resolution to 1080p doesn't fix my issue...)
I'll try again later today and if that doesn't work I'll try on my old machine again to export the models as sepperate parts so that people can combine heads, hair, and bodies themselves for character customization...
I don't know this for sure, but there might also be an issue where the models in SFM will look bad when "lit" so they might only be usable in unlit mode as this was also a problem with the models in unreal (unlit = disabled lighting)
ninja edit:
I fixed the hole in the wall in the Hebijo interior stage. So if I get audio working when trying to record my project I'll be sure to show off the hebijo acedemy too
Ninja edit reason 2:
3ds max issue is still an issue... sorry about this guys. I'm trying to get the ladies into SFM, but software really doesn't have my back on it :/
