Hello! Just saw a link from SIA's twitter to this forum, and I thought to join. I haven't really been active on forums or anything for quite a while, but as I love the Senran Kagura series, I'm hoping that I'll like it here. Anyways, about me, I'm just a guy who's really into Anime and japanese games pretty much. Love busty girls, so of course that's how i first set my eyes on the SK series (which also turned out to have great gameplay). These days I don't have that much time for gaming with work taking up all time, so I mostly just watch anime. Among my favorites are Amagi Brilliant Park, Hyouka, Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere and classics like Ghost in the Shell and Steins Gate. Definitely love fan-service and comedy series though. When it comes to the SK series, I've gotten the Limited Editions of all the games here in Europe plus I imported the LE for SK:SV from the US just to have that (but I also bought the digital edition here just to get the Rin DLC). And I'm getting the Bahonkas LE of SK:EV for PS4 + the regular edition for Vita. The characters I like the most are Ikaruga and Rin (+ Ryona as a giantess in that OVA because I love great giantesses like her. One might also guess that I would like Hibari because of her "giantess" skills in the games, but her voice just creeps me out way to much and ruins her.) I suppose that's enough about me I guess. Though I guess I might also mention that I vector anime images from time to time, and I've been planning on doing some for SK girls, so hopefully I might share some later on. And if you wanna see what I've done so far just ask. Also feel free to request vectors from me, and if I have some time and like the motive I might make it for ya! Well that's about it, hope I'll get along with everyone here!

Excellent first post, I respect that. Its great to have you aboard. I think you'll like it here, its pretty cozy and everything feels a lot less cold and distant than other forums. Since you're obviously experienced with art, you might also be interested in this. senran-international.boards.net/thread/1318/estival-cover-projects?page=1&scrollTo=59856Aaaand with that, I'm the head admin. If you need something, have any ideas, or whatever at all, let me know~

Hello! Welcome to SIA! I'm glad to see another user with a favorite being Ikaruga since those are always welcome here! Amagi Brilliant Park is indeed a good series and I liked the anime. I do want to try out Hyouka though one day.
Well I hope that you will feel welcome here and enjoy what this forum has to offer!~
Let me or Poog know if you need anything!

Welcome, friendo! A fan of big anime tiddies is always welcome here. I'm Dickb- I mean Dilbert, and I'm in charge of the writing contests here, so feel free to write up something for a contest or two. Or hell, check out some of the projects on SIA - I'm working on something, and you can read it up for the hell of it.
It's, er..got anime tiddies too. Yeah.

Will definitely have a look at trying to make something for it if just have some free time for it and can come up with something good.

So I have a couple of things to say here... #1. Welcome! The others already said this, but I'll feel bad for not saying it when barging in your thread here. #2. Please tell me that your title is a reference to Oregairu? Hachiman's reaction to Totsuka saying that is one of my favourite moments in anime history. #3. Among my favorites are Amagi Brilliant Park, Hyouka, Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere and classics like Ghost in the Shell and Steins Gate. Definitely love fan-service and comedy series though. Huh, fun. Horizon was pretty cool indeed, and Hyouka is quite fun as well ("Kiminarimasu!" XD), and I think we can all agree Steins;Gate should be in everyone's top list of animes. Curious to know whether you've perhaps watched Psycho-Pass, an anime that somehow always pops up when I think of Steins;Gate, and perhaps WataMote (which is mostly of my interest if I was right about the reference xD) and Shokugeki no Soma (a pretty darned good mix of ecchi and comedy), or the brilliantly ecchi-but-not-ecchi comedy Seitokai Yakuindomo S1. I went on a bit of a ramble here, but your list somewhat compiles the more memorable animes I've seen lately. XD

I went on a bit of a ramble here, but your list somewhat compiles the more memorable animes I've seen lately. XD Thanks for the welcome, but sorry to disappoint you, the title is more of a ref to Yuigahama Yui's way of greeting people in Oregairu, than the scene you mention. Though that scene was hilarious. Regarding Psycho-pass, I did start to watch that a while back, but i kept getting annoyed at Hanazawa Kana's voice acting so I never finished it. I do plan to try to finishing it someday if i just can try to get through HK's bad voice acting though. xD WataMote was a series I found way to depressing and sad, so I ended up dropping it after 3-4 episodes. I know it's supposed to be fun, but I just couldn't see it as anything but sad. And Shokugeki no Soma was a series I just couldn't resist after noticing that Tosh (the artist) was the one who does the artwork for the series. It's a really fun series, but I'm a bit disappointed as it feels like they're toning down on the ecchi parts after a while (dunno if it increases later on as I only got to the same part where the anime ends in the manga). Really looking forward to the second season though. And how the hell could I forget mentioning the masterpiece Seitokai Yakuindomo!? That's got to be the best comedy ever. And it's probably the anime I've rewatched the most (around 10+ times or so by now). I find the OVA's and second season to be quite fun as well, but they're just not as good as the first season because they give way to much focus to bad characters like the Judo club. But seriously the way it's set up with girls as the "perverted" and the guy as the straight man is just to damn hilarious. I dunno if you've seen it, but if you like SYD, I'm guessing you might also like the more recent series "Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai" about "dirty joke terrorists". It was quite fun to watch.

It was quite fun to watch. The fact it was OreGairu is good enough! As for Psycho Pass... can't say I was a fan, but it didn't really bother me personally. I do quite like it though. WataMote was a bittersweet series that, even as a guy, I could relate to too much not to continue watching. In the end, I don't think another series brought back that many awful high school memories of trying to fit in whilst keeping a smile on my face throughout the whole time. Shokugeki no Soma does seem to try and reel in some watchers with the ecchiness in the first episodes while toning it down later on, but I still quite liked it, with a 2nd season coming this fall I thought. Ah it's so cool you like it as well! Around the time 2nd season came out I had less time to watch anime so I dropped it quickly, but the first is still one of my favorites. Not familiar with it, will certainly try it! Have you seen Baka to Test Shoukanjuu? Loved that 1st season as well (thouh 2nd became formulaic to me).

If you haven't seen all of SYD S2, I do recommend finishing it sometime (but you pretty much need to watch some of the OVA's first, and then some after if you haven't watched them either), because alot of it is still brilliant. Yup, love BakaTest. Both S1 and S2. Really annoyed that there's no 3rd season yet as it's just so fun to watch. :3 Plus i love the unusual "art" style they use with bright colors and patterns and everything everywhere. Have you seen the series "Nourin" though? It's quite similar to BakaTest but about a "Agriculture" class instead, and at the same time it slightly reminds me of SYD because the main character shares voice with Tsuda. xD It's not really as good as BakaTest and SYD, but still very enjoyable.

S2 couldn't interest me much though, but the infinite ramen moment, and the hand-glued-to-table episode were sooo good! Agreed on the art yeah! Haven't seen it, and Crunchyroll doesn't have it in my country so it'll go on the list! Thanks!

Been sitting here now trying to figure out my favorite scenes in it, but there are just too many with everything like when there's a special bath for the "Hideyoshi" gender in the school and bath house (or was it hot springs?), Iron Man popping up from the most random places and the system malfunctions which cause their summons to become "monsters" or reveal their secrets and all. With people like you here who seems to have great taste in anime (and obviously games too with Senran Kagura), I think I'll probably really like it here.
