It's that time again! I post random shit I was able to achieve through the magical powers of modding. so I was fiddling around trying to find the values in charge of the clothing break stages. so i could controll it... well I found it! that's the good news. bad-ish(?) news is it has "interesting" results... take a look at this: I set the value to freeze on not having the costume broken. but for some reason when my costume was forced to restore after a clothing break (it was forced to restore because I had the value set to not have a clothing break) Ikaruga's outfit came out like in the pictures. leggings intact, no boots no skirt. there were also some weird results where her breasts would become huge, squished and clip into eachother... I'm still trying to figure out the different possible values for clothing breaks. so far I have this: (this is a 2 byte value) 17 = unbroken school uniform? it started as this when i began a level as ikaruga. 19 = only break lv1 on top? 51/52 = broken lv1 on both? 55 broken top lv2 broken bottom lv1? 119 = lv2 break on top and bottom (there are question marks because I'm unsure as the values were jumping a bit up and down at times. I'm going to do more testing on this) with the value frozen to 17 you can infinitely get the costume break cinematic on the player character (as long as you have enough health to survive all the launches or secret ninja attacks that is) I should also mention I only tested this with ikaruga. and I should also mention I found the value for EXP. (again only tested with ikaruga) but I can set the overall character EXP to anything I want. although setting it to 0 didn't reset the character level, and I wasn't able to find the value for the character level either... edit: ppppffftttghaahahahahah~! I love modding sometimes... especially when it doesn't do what I intended and yet at the same time it produces something THIS amazing and unintended xD this made me laugh way too much when I saw it appear after doing the shinovi tenshin.

Ok I feel like this is worthy of double posting... got it working. works perfectly fine in gameplay. this includes secret ninja attack cutscenes: by switching to a different break value it disables the censorship, and shows the characters just like a barbie doll. so the updated clothing break values list is: 17 = first state of any costume? school, shinovi, frantic. 19 = only break 1 on top 51 = lv 1 break on top and bottom 55 broken top lv2 broken bottom lv1? 119 = fully broken? (prevents all clothing breaks except for defeat by ultimate secret ninja art, although value will need to be unfrozen before defeat cutscene, otherwise no rip will happen) 251 = full nude (censored top bottom) 255 = full nude (censorship top and bottom) ... doesn't actually get rid of clothing? sometimes the clothing state doesn't propperly get (re)set so to get it to work for ikaruga I had to play her full secret ninja attack "intro" animation thingie. or do it when/before performing the shinovi tenshin, that seems to work too. it also works completely fine after a fight resulting in this: it does seem like it doesn't work with frantic, but in shinovi costume it should work after the secret ninja attack cinematic. or by letting the full shinovi tenshin animation play... during the shinovi tenshin you actually see the transformation from clothed to (censored nude) it looks kinda silly

So, anyone wanna make a detailed guide on SV modding so I can sticky it~? sure I'll do that then I'll also release my Cheat Engine script that way! or were you refering to the texture modding workflow? If so I posted a guide to extracting/repacking textures a while back I currently have the following options available in my cheat engine script: -character -ninja attack scrolls -"temp" health - actual health -tech mode -result screen exp (not actually exp so kinda useless...) -result screen exp display (not actually exp so kinda useless...) -actual exp -clothing break level I'll write up a full tutorial/guide on how to use it. my cheat engine script has one downside, that i need to update it every time the game is updated. as the adresses of the values move, at least I don't need to refind them every time I launch the game. as the values should be at the same adresss in memory

I tried your guide JTeghius Kittius, but it didnt quite work out for me. I prolly did something wrong. at what part were you having issues? maybe I can help you figure out what went wrong Edit: made a lot more progress on the clothing breaks. I can now manually set any of the 16 different states for the shinovi costume. there's 16 states because both top and bottom have 4 states: unbroken, broken lv1, broken lv2 (underwear), broken lv3 (nude) and so I have found all possible variants through trial and error. I might look into doing the same for the school uniform or the bikini, but I don't know if it's worth doing those. here's two examples with our lovely Beansprout as test subject: no top (but undamaged bottom) no bottom (undamaged top) I have also tried out multiple characters as it seems to work fine for every character i tried. haven't tested yet what happens to ryoubi though...

The difficulty I had was extracting, I couldnt get anything out of it. Maybe I misunderstood a step or something.

Anybody knows how to use the JTeghius Kittius job but with the oponents? The idea is to rip off completely all clothes of the oponents without the secret ninja art to the end of battle it really sucks! Any idead? Good job everybody!

I could probably find the same kind of values for opponents. I haven't looked for it yet. but it should theoretically be doable

EASY! ... ... ... now that I look at that image... LOL! Ryoubi, sweetie.. that's not how you hold a sniper rifle! anyway.. yeah I can control the enemy costume break level too. and the enemy health. haven't tried with more than one enemy, but if I recal there aren't that many stages that have more than one enemy anyway? anyway... enemy clothing values work the exact same way. and to have the oponents costume break to update they either need to perform their shinovi tenshin or a special attack. for both I'd recommend not skipping the cutscene to have this take effect... edit: hey... hey guess what...Cheat Engine table Release

would anyone happen to know how to edit the alphas of the clothes textures in that .dds format so i can change the ripped look? If you extract the textures, you can open them with photoshop (with the DDS plugin) you can then change the alpha on the break texture. and then save the dds texture with alpha and repack it to put back into the game

so do i change the alpha in the alpha channel? because it doesn't look like it's used in the texture somehow (it's blank). and here's a bunch of options when you want to save it out again, are there any options that should be checked or unchecked before saving out to avoid any issues?

Hello all you beautiful peoples <3 So after having some PC issues for a while, I got it fixed, and went back to playing and modding SK: SV. and I had some progress today :3 so I've been asked before if it's possible to begin the level in frantic mode or in shinobi mode... and at first my answer was either no or, I dunno probably somehow... well today the answer has changed to "YES" So this has a small... downside. Some of these costumes like Ryoubi's shinobi outfit aren't intended for those intro animations and will have some slightly odd visual effects during the animation, but the costume will work completely fine after that! WHOO~! minor issue number 2: changing/messing with the value for this at the wrong time/wrong way can lead to unintended situations. Like ryoubi no longer being animated.... like this: {Spoiler} when using this value to switch from the shinobi costume back to the school uniform you will actually need to redo your shinovi tenshin to be able to do your special attacks again, and when starting in shinobi costume you can actually do your special attacks without needing to perform the shinovi tenshin (because you are already in the required outfit for it) this also allows you to go fully clothed frantic I'll try and upload the updated version of the CE script for this as soon as possible. EDIT: hmmm.... It seems that fully clothed frantic brings an interesting side effect... I can not trigger clothing breaks, not even with the clothing break values from the Cheat engine list. I can make the censorship appear by changing the values for the clothing breaks, but it becomes completely impossible to use the clothing breaks when using "clothed frantic"...
