if you don't intend on spending any money on the game, try to get as many of the free cards as you can. they will come in handy. new cards introduced in new events tend to carry a "slayer" bonus that grants bonus damage/bonus points. they'll generally lose the bonus after the event they were introduced in ends but regardless of slayer status, they're very helpful. the only downside to this is that certain characters don't see free cards very often so you'll have to make due with what you have. check some of the other threads around here, like the slayer thread and the general discussion thread.

you'll be taken to a page that has a lot of banners like this one (scroll down if you don't see them)



click on whatever team you want and whatever girl you want, and you can use your tickets to vote for her in the current wedding poll. if you can somehow manage to get 200 votes, you'll get a UR card, although it might be too late at this point to get that many...not sure.

to awaken your cards, you'll need multiples of the same card or a rebirth book of the same rarity as the card, plus some training points (which you can get through events, getting rid of cards, certain event Slayer gachas, etc.) then you'll want to find your card. click on it,

you'll be taken to a page that has a description of your card like so.



scroll down and you'll find these buttons. click on the one that's circled.



you'll be brought here. rebirthing "at the item" is for rebirthing with a rebirth book. i don't have any R books, so you'll want to rebirth "at a card"



since i only need 1 more rebirth for my R Chiyo to be fully rebirthed, check the "to rebirth opponent" box (the one that has an arrow pointing at it and then click on the "to rebirth opponent" button (the one that's circled) you'll then be taken to a confirmation screen.



this shows you the increase in stats, as well as how many training points you'll spend for your rebirth. the amount starts off low and increases with each rebirth. (sadly, I don't keep track of the amounts. but I will say that for an LR, you'll need something like 250k or 500k training points.)

each card rarity has it's own maximum amount of rebirths. Normals have a rebirth max of 50, Max for Rares is 20, SRs are 10, URs are 5, and LRs are 2. However, all cards start off at 0/x (x representing whatever the max value is) so you'll actually need 1 more card than you think you'll need. (so 51 for Ns, 21 for Rs, 11 for SRs, etc.)

so seishira , you'll get your UR Tsubame card to 2/5 rebirths. however, to unlock the bonus art, you'll need one more card. (unless there are differences with premium cards with burst art that i'm unaware of, all the free URs with burst art that i own have needed 3/5, and there's a lot i don't know about premium gacha cards since i don't spend money on this game)

luckily, there's hope for you yet. if you can get between ranks 476 and 1250 for this event, you'll get into the "Covert" rank, which gives you 1 free UR book during each event (should you fulfill some event specific requirements, at least.) additionally, spending 200 R medals in the R medals shop will also grant you a UR book. R medals are completely free, but you can only get them through certain event Slayer gachas. (like the current one with Kuroudo in it, although there are only 15 for each refill) or through getting rid of cards above R rarity. (The amount of medals and training points you receive increases by the amount of rebirths and levels/exp the card has at the time, although be sure to have multiples of the cards you're giving up with full rebirth stats. You'll want to keep every card you can get if you play without paying.)
