Today was an amazing day for Nintendo. I can't wait for The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, and the new Xeno game.
Wind Waker HD is the best thing since Okami HD.

Im more surprised by the reactions to all this. there was no dates for the japanese stuff meaning close to 2015 for west release how is this good with king 3DS and 2 new systems around the corner?
HD developmenr for them is slow if they need partners for every game now.

There was mentions for the WiiU system updates... speeding up system n etc. Also Miiverse being access-able with a smartphone as well? Though this only makes me think that us that own a 3DS is left in the dust for now with no system updates/no Miiverse.

I'm all in for some Mario Kart and Smash Brothers don't even get me started on how epic it will be, I wonder how it will be on the 3DS.

If thy announced HD f zero GX with 30 player online support classic stages and track editor I would have lost my mind. Hell even HD wave race with some extras and I would be sold.
Problem with smash now is this is the first time it is going multiplatform so that exlusivity is lost so don't expext brawl numbers.

But they're on both of Nintendo's systems, I expect sales to skyrocket since both install bases can play it, especially if more people bought the 3DS.

Problem is too versions on diffrent systems may hurt the brand and sales. Look at pokemon they made sure to never have a main game on a home system for a reason. Once that exlusivity is lost thats it. Add to this a superhardcore community that will quickly be divided from this and hurt the brand.
WiiU version not good enough the blame is going right on 3DS version. Sakurai Says F you guys no more smash for 10 years.

And that's why two of Namco's studios are co-developing this. I highly doubt it would be bad for business since both versions would practically be the same game, and it depends on which of those consoles you have at the time, at least I'm hoping they'll be the same game. i don't know if I'll have a Wii U buy then so that's why. Honestly where do you get this stuff?

Honestly where do you get this stuff? From current gen trends. Almost all exlusive are not exlusives anymore and they sell much less because of this. Nintendo is struggling because there is no reason to by the Wii U over the 3DS since they both now get the same type of nintendo exlusives there for making them not as special in the end. They themselfs are eliminating the Nintendo Frist party exlusive power everywhere but in japan. Thats why I said don't expect big numbers. You can look at all the wii DS versions of games compared to the 3ds and wiiu versions to see its not going to do huge numbers. And in huge I mean brawl level. Im sure it will sell millons.

The only reason Smash Bros. might not sell is Namco's involvement.
Adding in random video game/anime characters over Pac-Man? Angers people, kills sells. Changing the formula when you said you wouldn't? Angers people, kills sells.
Can someone explain why Namco is developer over say Capcom or Platinum Games? I would rather have Mega Man, Bayonetta or both. Than any of Namco's characters that haven't really supported Nintendo's platform in years.
As for the new announcements, I'm starting to think I'll end up getting the Wind Waker. And everybody should buy a bajallion copies of Yarn Yoshi when it comes out.

I don't see the problem only one that can mess this up is Sakurai or if Iwata rush the project to the market because of the wii u's bad sells.
Capcom don't make games they contract smaller companies like they did for SF4 and MVC3 And DMC.
Platinum games is busy and have no history in fighting games. you want them to have there first try on smash?
Its not one game its 2 smash games and all other companies but Namco is too small to make an HD game and a 3DS game and if Nintendo did it on there own it would not come out till 2020 and they need that game next year or this year end to combat other systems launch.

Your first point must be a fabrication of their development teams skill. The only team that could say that without being laughed at by the Smash Bros. community is Harada's Tekken team. Because after Soulcalibur II the Soul series has been bashed for it's balancing issues. The rest of the teams don't even develop fighting games. Your second point can't be proven when Namco doesn't have a 4 player fighting game like Smash Bros. That's a port. What if DarkStalkers 4 or the next BlazBlue gets announced at E3? A lot of new fighting games can be announced between now and the release of Smash Bros. 4. So do Activision, EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, Konomi, Sega, Warner Bros. Studios. Anyone who released a game last gen and survived meets that criteria. Biggest publisher in what? Video games? Could you be more specific on this one? Most are anime licenses that shouldn't be anywhere near Smash bros. 4. Quite frankly, those licenses are the only properties keeping them afloat right now. Not over PacMan or PacMan in chibi gundam armor. On the case of Capcom contracting companies for their fighting games. Since when has this become a "bad" thing? I'm pretty sure Namco does that with CyberConnect2 and the Naruto games. Busy developing Bayonetta 2 and getting visits from a very "cute" Masahiro Sakurai according to Kamiya on Twitter. Your basically asking me if I want a company like GameArts to work on Smash Bros. again. To be honest it would be better to have a clean slate developer, than one that has a track record for ruining their own franchises. Who's to say it will be a simultaneous launch? I could see the Wii U version coming out next year. However I don't see the 3DS version coming out the exact same day, maybe 6 months later to increase profit. But, there's still different companies that could handle different parts of development. And no one can actually say 100% what the 3DS game will be. It could be a port just like PSASBR on the Vita.
