For anyone who wants to purchase the BDs here's a list of what's included in each volume and what store gets what bonus. Firstly the contents of the BDs. All volumes have a specially drawn jacket by Yaegashi Nan (the artist for the series), Massive Breast Secret Move Scroll (a setting materials booklet), Yaegashi Nan drawn bath poster, a drama CD, OVA and a picture label (sticker or postcard I guess). Each volume also has the following (all translations are my poor attempts): Volume 1: Yaegashi Nan drawn 3 volume box <Hanzou Version> A code for some DLC outfits for Shinovi Versus. Drama CD "Scroll struggle strategy" OVA "Exciting body measurement" Ninja Girls Meet episode 1 Non credit opening Volume 2: CD "Exciting amusement park date" OVA "Concealing naked Hibari" Ninja Girls Meet episode 2 Non credit ending <Hanzou version> Volume 3: CD "1st all in grand prix" OVA "I want to bury my head in those breasts!" <YES! Ninja Girls Meet episode 3 PV1 and PV2 Volume 4: Yaegashi Nan drawn 3 volume box <Hebijou Version> CD: "Shinobi Sentai: Kagura Five" OVA: "Ikaruga style exercise" Ninja Girls Meet episode 4 Non credit ending <Hebijou version> Volume 5: CD "Hanzou and Kiriya's covert operation" OVA "Forbidden! Fear of the unopened space" I have no idea for this one Ninja Girls Meet episode 5 PV2 Nyuu ver and TV-CF Volume 6: CD "Day of truce" OVA "Showdown with the rivals with no honour" or something like that Ninja Girls Meet episode 6 Non credit ending <Asuka version>
Secondly, the store bonuses. When you purchase all volumes from these stores you'll get a bonus. With each volume purchase from these stores you'll get some items. Sofmap: Original BromideChara-ani: PostcardBunkyoudo: BromidePurchase volumes 1, 2 and 3 from getchu and get a telephone card, and another one if you purchase 4, 5 and 6. 4-6Purchase volume 1 and volume 4 at amiami and you'll get an original telephone card for each. Note, the Hanzou and Hebijou 3 volume boxes come with every order of volume 1 and 4, regardless of which store you buy from, as they are provided with the BD and are not store specific bonuses if that wasn't obvious enough.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the mousepad looks like, that and volume boxes.
I'm still feeling bad that this has a good chance of not selling even with the large amount of bonuses.

I don't know if you're aware but the average amount that a series usually requires for a second season is around 6000 units sold. If it sells that amount it's usually considered a success. There are some that far surpass this such as Sword Art Online and Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere which are selling something like 20,000 per volume. These are obviously going to get more seasons. There are some that don't do well even though they should have done like Binbougami ga! which only sold around 1-2000 per volume (I'm so disappointed this didn't sell well, I want a second season!). Then there are some that utterly fail and sell abysmal amounts, like Kill Me Baby which only sold around 700 copies of the first volume. They even joked about this. Their twitter account got something like 10 or 20,000 followers so in commemoration they released 698 (or thereabouts) twitter icons. One for each person that bought the BD... lol
Obviously we don't want this to be like KMB. I'm not expecting it to get a second season and it won't be anywhere near as popular as SAO or Kyoukaisen but I hope it does well. I'm expecting and would be quite happy with a number around the 3-4000 mark for volume 1.

From what I heard Sunday, it may not hit that 6000 mark, that's the reason for the downer response. I'm always like this when I hear an anime isn't doing well in the preorder rankings, don't take it too personally, I'm not looking for Dog Days, Girls und Panzer, or SAO sales.
3000-4000 is as much as Papakiki sold.
Kill me Baby sold only 698 copies, LOL

About the numbers zorogou cited, the seminal reference about DVD sales is kransom's 2010 anime DVD/BD sales post (in case some other people would be interested) 2chan.us/wordpress/2010/05/03/2ch-sales-numbers/Of course, success has to be measured in terms of budget, too; I don't think SK had the same budget-per-episode as SAO or Horizon, so the number of sales for the series to be considered a success has to be adjusted accordingly. I'm kind of expecting around 2000 sales based on the preorders, I hope I'm being overly pessimist. With the release of the Vita game around the corner, I hope the perspective of DLC costume will generate some more sales ;D Poor Kill me Baby lol ^^

I freakin' loved Kill Me Baby.
While I do want Senran Kagura to do well; at the moment, I can't say the anime really deserves great sales. And if the anime did get a second season, and it was going to be more of what we've been getting now, I wouldn't be too excited.
Heh, sorry if that came across a bit too critical for a SK board.

This board was not started by MAQL so I don't see the problem. If you expect better of the anime then its only right for you too want them to step there game up in this area. At the end of the day the anime will sell to the super hardcore fans thats why the price is always so much higher they all know this both sides. Any DVD or BD not sold will be took to trade shows and signed by the VA and sold in person maybe with a pic for a higher price. there is always a way to sell the stuff and get the money.

Okay, so the latest new post on the website says that they're revealing a few store bonuses but when I went to check there was nothing there despite it being in the website's resources senran.tv/products/assets/tokuten_animate_s.jpgSo I went to each individual store and there they were. The first post has been updated.

That Hibari boxart is hilarious, I don't know if she's doing that to be cute or Haruka persuaded her to do that because she thinks it's cute, that or Minori thought it was a good idea to get Hibari to pose like that.
