Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but one thing I seem to have trouble with is trying to access this forum on my PS Vita. While it does load, it's very slow for some reason; I'm guessing it may have something to do with the need to load up the shoutbox.
So, could there be a "lite" portal for the forum that skips the shoutbox altogether? That might make accessing the forum on a mobile device (such as the Vita) somewhat handier.
(Unless there is some other issue that is making the site load so slowly on the Vita browser.)

Loading the full site on a mobile device can certainly be difficult. There is a mobile version of the site that loads by default when you try to access it via a smartphone. I will look into seeing if it possible to load that version of the site on a Vita or other devices.

I'm not sure if anything has changed, but the site does seem to load a bit more quickly on the Vita now, even with the Shoutbox present. (It's still not as fast as other forums to load, but it is a little better than it was before.)
Was there any formal change, or could something else be going on perhaps?

I removed the twitter widgetbox from the site for now, so that should contribute to making it load faster. I am still in the process of seeing how to access the mobile version on other devices.

For now there does not seem to be a way to directly access the mobile version of the site manually. However, I found a workaround that might get the job done. Go to this link and put our URL into it: www.google.com/gwt/nDoing that should give you the mobile version of the forums. If that doesn't work I'll keep working on it. |
