Ignore them. That's all you have to do. Don't give them your time of day. The fact that they're women is only like...the fifth thing wrong with them. Although if they're little manginas then that goes up to around number 3. (Sarcasm)

What's wrong with being a women? Yeah, I'm also trying to figure this out. Hopefully he just worded it wrong and isn't trying to be a misogynist pig.

Read inside the parenthesis. Yes, like wave, I thought it was after "Although". My mistake. Forgives?

Read inside the parenthesis. Yes, like wave, I thought it was after "Although". My mistake. Forgives? Nothing to forgive in the first place. For the record I was raised in the south by two women. I know how to treat a lady, and I consider women just as much my equals as any guy. That's why this 'feminism' BS pisses me off so much when you have women, who have no idea what it's like to be a man, acting as if they know me and what goes on in my mind more than I do.

Yeah, on the XSeed board I was away for a bit and that discussion devolved really quick.
I am fine for a calm respectful discussion, but seems like emotions run high so quickly in this regard. I just don't find the internet to be a constructive place in these situations.

I meant, forgive me, but I am just overly polite I guess. And I agree, its why I can't go around saying I am a feminist without bad looks, because the radical ignorant crazies give the rest of us a bad name.

Why I state my views as labels tend to immediately make people assign characteristics to you. Within every group I find there is great diversity of thought, part of being human.

I would not call it feminism BS its just a women that's trying to make a quick name for herself quick and easy. If she cared for real woman's issues she would address this issue with others in the real world on real topics. I'm sure she would be laughed out the room if she brought the issue of woman in video games as something that's holding woman back in the real world. 100% of the women I know don't give a damn about female video game characters as it relates to them in real life. Now women on TV is another story.

Now women on TV is another story. First world feminists go after video games because it's the only thing they can now attack without backlash or risk of oh...you know actually doing something important. When you're in the public eye, video games make for the perfect target because they're not yet considered 'mainstream' culture. People don't hold video games in the same respect as things such as books, music, and movies which means you can attack the entire medium without fear. Look at the gun control BS. The damn NRA uses video games as their scapegoat and nobody but gamers (the people who actually know something about the medium) call them out on their bullshit while mainstream media just nods along. Same thing happened with that feminist frequency BS. She took a whole lot of peoples' money to spout off a bunch of BS and the gaming community put her in her place by picking her argument apart and refuting her. She called it abuse. You want to piss off a feminist, put their views under a microscope and scrutinize them. Be critical, just as you would any other academic work. Apparently feminists think they're exempt from outside interpretation. You're either with them or you're part of the 'rape culture'. You want to help women? Go after human trafficking or go promote equal gender rights in the middle east (took a whole class on that one last fall). Do something that will actually help women instead of attacking how they're portrayed in media, especially something done in anime style which is known for it's insane distortions of human anatomy. And if men would like to see attractive women in the media then get over it! I don't see them chastising any of the attractive male actors or video game characters.

I think you are getting to worked up. The women did those things for easy internet celebrate status. Making the same comments to other forms of media would just make her sound like another voice in the crowd but in the video game world garmers gave her 15 minutes.
