I'm sure some of you have read some of the volumes and know how badass it is. I would recommend it.

Well yeah, I read the Kanto and Johto sagas and I enjoyed it a lot more than the anime... Ash Ketchum, if compared with Red is a total loser. Really curious to read the rest, but I'm not interested in the Hoenn region. I'll skip to Sinnoh which is one of my favourites

Personally, the Hoenn saga takes it to the next level after Johto.

I wished that they would make an anime based off of the manga. It's soooooooo much better than the shitty kiddie cartoon.

Speaking of Red, I know some of you already know but there is a Pokemon Origins special out there that is completely based on the games.

Blue is the best character in this manga series for me.
She is badass in her own way and that's nice.

Od course I watched it but if the story was the same if the manga it would have had a lot more success. I'm reading the Hoenn saga, and I must admit that Kanto and Johto were a lot better... Ruby is a BOY that does pokemin contest, while Sapphire is a GIRL that does gym battles... where's logic?!

It's fine. A guy can do pokemon contests and a girl can do gym battles. It's normal.

I don't see any problem with that too.
And I think this is just the point in this part of the manga: showing that there's no problem in man doing something that's seems "girly" and vice versa.
I pretty much love playing as a girl in Pokemon and in Pokemon X something I do a lot is changing her clothes to make her stylish and I'm still a straight guy. If I was gay I would never play Senran Kagura, actualy. Gay people don't usually like this type of fanservice...

Indeed, boys and girls can be anything they want if they put their mind to it. No sexism or feminism at all.
