Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Dawn of Souls. How you liking it so far? I beated the first Final Fantasy a couple hours ago and I it was a pretty fun game. The most dissapointing thing I can say so far is that when you save over a file after beating the game, you don't keep your levels or gear. I guess they didn't want me have 2 Ultimate Weapons.

I am currently playing Kingdom Hearts 1 on my 1.5 Final Mix that Poog got for me like about a month ago. I've finished 2 and am waiting for 3. It looks so hype~

Moero Chronicles, I need more dungeon crawlers. What is your thoughts on Moero? I have it too, but i haven't had the chance to play it yet. It's a decent dungeon crawler but it's a little barebones compared to something like Dungeon Travellers 2. The main problem I have with it is most of the girls end up with similar skillsets, even with the class changes there isn't a lot of variety between them so there isn't much incentive to use many of the girls and some turn out to be sort of useless in the long run. Otherwise the story is a little bland, the main character is somewhat irritating but they could just be the voice actor and the touching mini-game is okay with a guide but otherwise is just plain annoying since you have under a minute to guess. Overall it's a decent first try at a dungeon crawler and for the most part is enjoyable if you like the genre, I'm hoping Compile Heart will continue making them since it is fun.

Moero Chronicles, I need more dungeon crawlers. If you're looking for good dungeon crawlers, I'd recommend the Etrian Odyssey series. There's currently 6 games in the main series; I-III being on DS and IV/I-II remakes on 3DS. The job system lets you make a completely unique team, or in the remakes you can use a preset party to have a more story-based experience. They're quite difficult on hard mode, too. The replay value of the series is immense, but even beating them takes a decent bit of time (I think it took me around 60 hours to complete the I remake, going at a steady pace as to enjoy everything).

I got the games for DS but honestly what puts me off is the forced character naming which I get stuck at in every game that has it, I want canon names so I can play the game not think about what name should I use. Overall it's a decent series and a great throwback to classic dungeon crawlers, I can't help but feel they lack something compared to something like Dungeon Travelers 2

Story mode really fleshes out the game with voice acting, more immersive quests and both cutscenes and CG artwork. (sorry about the formating of this post, something fell apart)

Honestly I haven't taken a look at the 3DS versions mostly because they are digital only where I am and trying to import a physical copy is a little costly so I'll just take a look at the names and play the DS version.

Moero Chronicles, I need more dungeon crawlers. I heard it was incredibly easy though... The biggest fun of Dungeon Crawlers is the creation of the party and the planning of the strategy. The fun gets sucked out of it pretty quickly if the 'way-to-go' is too straight forward and too easily figured out. Demon Gaze had me struggling with some bosses playing on the hardest difficulty, but Operation Abyss, being practically the same game structurally had me easing my way through everything despite being supposedly the harder game. Now OA had awesome dungeon crawling that made up for its lack in originality in the combat system (having come out after Demon Gaze in the west), but from what I've seen, fanservice is the only thing that seems capable of saving the Moero games, and well, for that there's also fun fanservice games. You know, like Senran Kagura. Or Dungeon Travelers. I'm playing Lost Dimension though. Playing detective looking for the traitor is incredibly fun. The game isn't particularly challenging, although I do tend to find myself stopping and restarting quests just because I positioned a character slightly differently than I had initially planned... But maybe that's just me.
