Nintendo really needs to get with the times. Their online structure is primitive at best I'm afraid, they need to work out on building a solid unified structure like PSN and XBL. I hope they replace the app with something more solid since they don't seem too intent on fixing the Swapnote issues.

Wah, I never use the feature but I know people who do. You cannot stop people from doing this kind of thing short of heavy moderation or limited options (like predefined sentences and images). aristides I don't get what the lack of a proper unified account system (which Nintendo certainly needs) has to do with this. ?_? |

Well PSN and XBL both have their communication methods tied into their systems. It would be easier to manage such an app this way as it would be easier to moderate accounts. Spam filters, blocks, bans, even parental control can be more effectively implemented this way. |

I hated that service and when people started spamming I deleted it. all we wanted was a basic system for a basic system they made and they got that wrong.

Seen this early and its crazy but me living in japan it's something not out of possibility. Child safety or really over parenting is lacking in japan, no one says don't talk to strangers and no chris hanssen to scare the would be creeps off. Add to that a country more in to sex then violence and its going to happen. can't blame Nintendo really government maybe.
I heard worst stories since I been here.
