Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target have all had issue meeting demand. In Europe it is even worse with lines 1000s deep in France and Germany for PS4s. I will put it this way, I have little doubt that come April-May when demand is getting met each week the PS4 will regularly outsell X1 world wide every week. I think the bigger question here is "will it outsell Wii U?" Considering how scalping works you might see a lot of those systems returned just like the Wii U was. Not to mention some people were able to walk in stores and buy a PS4 in North America.

A lot of people hypothesize post-launch droughts as well, I can see that considering that some of the 2014 release dates are vague, quite vague. This may give all consoles equal grounds for a clean sales race if no more delays happen. I tried to post a table of upcoming releases but it drove me up the wall how messed up the interface was. Just know that if Nintendo announces at least a few more games, the amount of titles coming would be even.

Not to mention some people were able to walk in stores and buy a PS4 in North America. Yes. Yes it will. The demand in many markets has been established now to take months to meet waiting lists. I like Nintendo, but they are d.o.a. in Europe and Sony is rolling over there. "PS4’s North American debut on November 15th was PlayStation’s largest ever, with more than one million gamers picking up a PS4 in just 24 hours. Now, with PS4’s global launch expanding to a total of 32 countries worldwide, including Europe and Latin America, I’m proud to announce that more than 2.1 million PS4s have been sold." How about we put a smaller wager, say signature control over the other for a month? If Sony reaches 10 million first I win, if Nintendo does you win. Sound fair?

I'll be watching this.

Both of the 'new' consoles are still in their launch and holiday sales which are inflating the numbers big time. Once the holidays are over and pre-orders are done, I could easily see both consoles taking a slump. Especially since they're basically being powered by CoD, BF, etc. which only come out in the fall. If Nintendo plays their cards right(chances of that happening are...>.<) and releases a lot of their big hitters in the late winter/spring then they could see their sales start to spike. Depends on when they can get Mario Kart and Smash out the door. (They're still idiots for not having Mario Kart out for the holidays)

The PS4 will most likely outsell the WiiU, it just needs a decent library but I doubt I'll see much if anything I want until 2015 at the earliest, hopefully Namco-Bandai will give next gen a boost by not milking the original cast of The Idolm@ster and give us a new game with the girls from Million Live, Cinderella Girls, or both as I want more than just the orginal cast and there are no excuses that can be made since the movie has Million Live girls in it.

If Nintendo plays their cards right(chances of that happening are...>.<) The chances are outlined in this statement by Reggie. wiiudaily.com/2013/11/reggie-on-wii-u-drought/Starting on the 7th, we'll see the reason why he chose to go to the VGX awards of all places. He messes this up and I'll have to phone him in to the authorities for suspected drug use.

They doa in japan too , here you can get used games and rent systems and sell it all back. This will be used on mk and smash so they are done. 3ds smash could be huge but I'm not seeing quality in the title yet.

I would like to think that they'd have something pretty badass to be going to something that basically caters to the exact opposite of their demographic, but....eh. We'll see. I have more important things to think about at the moment.

Media Create Sales: 11/25/13 – 12/1/13 – Wii U & 3DS Sales Surge, Hatsune Miku Tops SoftwareWhat about being doa? It's the top selling home console in Japan, there's more games worth getting than Smash and Kart. Would gamers really pass up X and possibly more games as rent only? I swear you overthink some of your statements.

I was talking wiiu it will see no 3rd party Japanese support and that's the worst when the 3ds will get all the games. Then there is Ps4 which 3rd parties have to support or be killed be the west. No money to waste making wiiu games that don't sell even mario now.

Wiiu has good games but the prices is way to high for japan still they need to get it around 3ds price for the family to consider it.

I was sure Japanese developers have more respect for Nintendo than Western developers. I thought hell would freeze over when the likes of Shinji Mikami calls Nintendo hardware "irrelevant". Even the GameCube saw decent JP support.

They already have the bravely follow up and fft follow up. What wiiu games are getting follow ups?

WTF is up with that? I mean, it isn't like the 3DS came out a few years before the Wii U and therefore has had more time on the market and more time to attract third party attention.
