So, you would rather there never be an option for anyone than any sort of reward system? This is a pretty minor perk to be frank. It is not like we made it so you have to earn an avatar, just a minor tweak in size becomes optional. No system is perfect. I have been on sites that go solely by post count and it made people post like mad with little content while occasional but quality posters missed out. If enough people do feel this change makes the forum less enjoyable the mods and admin will discuss the matter. No I think there should be an option its just the way and reward is the problem. if its something for personal use for a user that should not be based on what others users think of them. Its I minor perk but why should it be exclusive is what people would say. Post boosting would get caught so fast on this board because its a small community also its not right to call other posters not quality because not all members have the same knowledge of the series or put as much work in to the fight so who is to judge others if they want to join but don't have the knowledge but want to get involved are there post not quality? I just think our whole fight is because the 3DS is region locked by nintendo so to do the same and lock members out of features is no better then them and we can simple be called out on it by anyone.

The karma system is also an additional incentive to participate in the Community Missions. It is imperative that people keep in mind that the primary purpose of our group is to work for the localization of the games. Ideally every member should participate in the Community Missions and so far we have not gotten close to that. As Augen said, there are flaws to any system. Even if members are not utilizing the karma system to its fullest extent, participation in the Community Missions yield a considerable amount. but those that do not help with the community or post quality post can still take away karma right?

This doesn't really go for any side but is a larger avatar option a big deal?
It just many people haven't even got one and I don't know if I would even bother increasing my size. Of course this is only my opinion.
On and on the terms of other sites, I know one where in order to edit your profile you need to give 10 posts so no avatar, description or sig, granted I dont think this could be applied now.

As I mentioned before, the 65x65 avatar size is the default size for the message board. These two new sizes are additions. I have no control over the forum's default options and settings.
Because that is the default size, for anyone to have a larger avatar it requires me or a moderator to manually adjust the size for each member individually. If we were to implement the largest size as the new default, to keep things consistent anytime a new member registers we would have to manually adjust theirs too. That would be far too time consuming.
Keep in mind that this is an addition and nothing is being taken away. It is not like it is being required that members earn the ability to have avatars or that the default size is terribly small; I have not seen any complaints about the size even now. I fail to see how the option to have more will decrease the enjoyability of the board when there were no issues with the original avatar sizes. Nor do I see this as members being restricted from options on the board since nothing is lost.
I did not expect there to be such an issue with the option to increase the size of avatars. If this is an issue that goes beyond avatars, I would be happy to discuss that though. But in regard to this, given how the option is set into the forum by default our options are to implement larger sizes via some kind of reward system or to keep it only at the default size.

Personaly I don't care but for new members comming in they may feel discourage because they can't meet the needs to get the extra options or rewards because they are so high or would require alot of work or knowledge of the series. One thing that someone said is they did not want to join the board because they don't feel they can contribute. Are we setting the bar too high for those that still are not fully exposed to the series yet?

They can get up there with community missions and stuff like everyone else. In fact, this system encourages people to stay here. Plus, if all they care about is some avatar perks, they are here for the wrong reason.

www.youtube.com/user/aqiI had been subscribed to MAQL's youtube so I thought I'd share this. Sometimes the possibility of a Nintendo/MAQL crossover is something I hope to come true, but it's still wishful thinking on my part.

If they're not going to use amiami, play-asia or CDJapan, all of which have English websites, you could just point them to yokattaweb.jp/index.html who are a middle-man service that don't require you to sign up. You just email them a link to what you want from the website you want it from, they'll order it then charge you for the item's price + service fees. When they get the item they'll ask for money for postage. And that's it.

Closer to the release I'll make a topic that details that as well as how to make a Japanese PSN account, and where to order Japanese PSN cards. Economically and in terms of speed it makes the most sense to get a Japanese PSN card to get the game since most sites that sell them give you the code instantly, then you can just download the game.

Another suggestion
Too anyone getting the Vita game would you like to start and maintain your own Multiplayer section where you can deal with things like setting up battles with board members tracking of active members and holding tournaments and so on. I'm sure the mods and admn would help any member that wanted to do this for the board. Game will realses soon and we yet to make plans for How would members handle MP sessions and meet up play times.
