The girl that brought 3D jiggle booty physic's to the 3DS makes her debut in portrairt of young girls. At first glance everyone thought she would be a usless character when it comes to fighting and all those that have yet to play the games still think so but whats the truth. well lets find out.
Yin mode / non turnover form
In this form Hibari has the standard strings like everyone else YYY and YYB both end with launchers, She has not weopon on the ground anyway so most of her attacks use her hands and feet or butt in some way making her range kinda short. Her only weopon is her air kuni attacks or juming X. her she throw 3 to 4 kunai at the enemie while falling. the tricky part about this attack is it can be controlled by how fast you do it and how many enemies you hit. if your kuni hits an enemy you can throw another if your are able to throw another then you loss no height in your jump so there is this very technical side about her weapons and how they work in the air and how lag can affect this and eveything. Even though there is this complex side to Hibari there is this stupid side where you can just jam on the X button to do infinite combos on everyone encluding bosses. you don't take much hit stun in this game as burst so the ability for your enemies to break this is low and if they are on the floor it's zero. So she has this advance side and this brain dead side but she also has a fun side.
Yin mode/ turnover transformed form
This side of Hibari like most of her transformerd states tend to be the most fun because of the new wacky moves she is givin like the ability to summon bunny's in to battle. Her Ninpou when she grows big is not really a great move but when you need that extra power for a boss battle it makes a diffrence and her first ninpou when she rides on the bunny is a good get away move to get out of corners. Somthing I skipped over in the earlier part was her Air Y attack. Nothing special looking about the attack when you first see it just that it lets you keep on bouncing on enemies when they are falling. then you start to see well if there is no enemy there I can get to the ground before them and attack while they are falling, then you look closer and see I can not even fall if I keep canceling out the move with air or I can bonunce on multiple enemies at a time. Hibari's whole air attack system takes on a more complex mind of its own compared to her goofy and more fun ground moves.
Senran mode/ secret art unlock
Much like most of the cat Hibari gets a better and longer dash which helps alot it her air dash movment while not affecting things like her infinite. Other then dashing there is no way for her to bend this system in the air department like Asuka and a few others so she is sadly out of luck like Yagyuu. Hibari is givin some more funny move though and a spin attack while looking back on it after Burst its pretty crappy but back then it was good.
I would like to point out The new dash limits how many attacks you can get with your kuni but it improves your movmenrt not control of movment so its a trade off Yang falls some where in the middle of the two.
Yang mode/ Bikini form
Much like the other characters she is just mainly super fast mode. Her quick limit break means you won't get hit as much and also makes things easier. Her attacks in this form is pretty basic with no property advantages other then her glitch that lets you use her ground attacks in the air and thats pretty funny when it happens. Her infinite now kills enemies to fast so you can't use this form to gain exp quick like the others. This is just her least fun fom like alot of characters because of the quick death on both sides.
I think Hibari in the first game was a great character that could be played a number of ways depending on the player and while I feel her Burst form is better its not more advanced and gives her just another big tool that other characters don't have making her stand out but this game even with the infinite she was some what kept in line.
