So they can be playable in Versus but not the game they originated in? wat Thats such a weird thing lol. Cuz you have the models an the stripping animations an all that. Cant be to hard to edit they're movesets abit to be useable in gameplay. Buuuuut if ive learned anything from fighting games is that characters take months too make. so idk. Probably just didnt wanna bother cuz time. Its still a weird thing cuz am like "you have naraku's model in the towel...WHY isnt she playable...buh....gahhh" Lol. I needs....time bomb waifu? Idk

If you played the games they originated in you would be able to notice that they weren't made to be playable.
... and that it wouldn't make much sense storywise either.
Since Estival Versus decided to be a dream match between characters it can just add them like that.

Lol its the principal of the thing. Like yay murasume. Joke character an all that. But also let us play as the op boss characters. Technically rin an daidouji are already that. Plus awakened asuka an homura. But its a big dumb anime game. Ya can never have to many op characters. Thats half the fun. Especially with deep crimson already having weird balance stuff as is.

How is that so impossible? They wouldn't have even had to have any story or anything behind it. It would be just for the sake of having them playable. Is that really that crazy?

Wanna know how i know that? cuz hyrule warriors did it. an deep crimson is already a weird psudeo baby musou anyway lol. You're totally not wrong. I guess when you think about it Hyrule Warriors is a good example sorta. It doesn't have to always make sense storywise. But they can just be in there just cause you know...it would be fun to play as them? And I know the game has been out for a while now, but it just seems like that would have been what they decided to do. I mean you can look at them in the changing room so they must have planned for it at some point but decided against it maybe?

Plus ya unless gotta put into account the games been out in japan for an entire year before we got it. So it sucks even more. Its why it kinda makes sense why estival is takin so long to get a release date cuz they are STILL adding content to that damn game lol its nuts. I still dont think its comin this year XD

I think ive explained why it isn't before. For starters, its a spin-off. Second, it uses timetravel shenanigans for its "plot" if you can call it that. Not that it really matters though. Kagura and Naraku weren't designed to be playable from the beggining. The reason they are DLC in EV is because people whined, lol.

Technically dc is also a spin off since its not canon to the mosou timeline. Which by now is the one that matters lol so yea

Well maybe if "they" had made them playable in the first place no one would have "whined" but apparently that's a physical impossibility, lol.

Lol there's more spin offs then "main line" games at this point. With more characters an story progression.... This series is weird >.> Not as bad as kingdom hearts tho lol
