I finally played Deep Crimson's Special Missions. They're fun as hell, specially the ones where you have to beat all the enemies without being hit and the boss rush ones.
Dai is a freaking beast, I beat all the bosses without transforming. Just making a good use of her stance. She's the best

Is there any info about Deep Crimson's sales in the west?
I wanted to know...

I decided to replay this game on hard mode this time and already finished the first chapter.
Now I'm asking myself why the fuck I had a hard time to beat Orochi in post-transformation mode. I activated Frantic mode and it made it easier, though...

As is usual on these kind of games, I've found hard mode as the best option to truly appreciate the game system. With the enemies having a lot more health, higher stats and somewhat tweaked AI, you're really have to bring your A-Game to win.
Getting A-ranks on this mode is a pain in the ass though.

Kagura and Naraku's themes are the same in EV as they are in SK2, with the odd exception that Naraku's has the intro cut out for some reason.
Edit: Upon further inspection, the OST version of Naraku's theme is the only one with the intro. It's absent in-game in both SK2 and EV, so the song is exactly identical in both games.

I've been there before release date. It's pretty neat.

So I just recently beat the main story of SK2 and I gotta say I was not disappointed. I love the story, further character development, visuals, and of course the gameplay. It was a blast to play. Definitely upped the challenge form Burst especially the Yoma's Nest (seriously screw those snake girls in the butt I hate them)! But, I eventually beat them all for the sake of getting all the extra weapons (plus ult. Asuka, C. Homura, Hikage, and yomi are crazy overleveled). I tried the game again in hard mode, but again my characters are overleveled so I was getting "A" ranks back to back
I also learned this neat exploit where you dash cancel every third or forth hit which lead to practically an infinite combo. It's great for getting quick kills, gain ninja art energy faster, and quickly locks down bigger enemies. It's even better when you have the status effects equipped from the special missions. It's great if your're going for "A" ranks.
Also, am I the only one who underestimated the power the frantic mode. Throughout the main game, for some reason I never bothered to touch it until AFTER I beaten it and started doing the boss rush in the special missions. The moment I activated it, I was forced back by the sheer power it brought and completely DESTROYED the bosses. I'm now starting to do it more often in hard mode.

The Dash Cancel is crucial to really experiment the game system at its fullest. Have you seen this video? Personally I don't like to use the Frantic Mode, is way more entertaining to fight the bosses without it but to each their own. So glad you liked the game, hopefully one day we play some co-op together!
