So I just recently beat the main story of SK2 and I gotta say I was not disappointed. I love the story, further character development, visuals, and of course the gameplay. It was a blast to play. Definitely upped the challenge form Burst especially the Yoma's Nest (seriously screw those snake girls in the butt I hate them)! But, I eventually beat them all for the sake of getting all the extra weapons (plus ult. Asuka, C. Homura, Hikage, and yomi are crazy overleveled). I tried the game again in hard mode, but again my characters are overleveled so I was getting "A" ranks back to back I also learned this neat exploit where you dash cancel every third or forth hit which lead to practically an infinite combo. It's great for getting quick kills, gain ninja art energy faster, and quickly locks down bigger enemies. It's even better when you have the status effects equipped from the special missions. It's great if your're going for "A" ranks. Also, am I the only one who underestimated the power the frantic mode. Throughout the main game, for some reason I never bothered to touch it until AFTER I beaten it and started doing the boss rush in the special missions. The moment I activated it, I was forced back by the sheer power it brought and completely DESTROYED the bosses. I'm now starting to do it more often in hard mode. The Dash Cancel is crucial to really experiment the game system at its fullest. Have you seen this video? Personally I don't like to use the Frantic Mode, is way more entertaining to fight the bosses without it but to each their own. So glad you liked the game, hopefully one day we play some co-op together! Sure thing I'd like that.

I apologize in advance if this was already known, but I just recently discovered it's possible to pause the movies while watching them in the gallery. I found myself constantly pressing the A button during the opening and finding some fairly interesting (odd) still images. I wish it was easier to take screenshots!

Hello, I'm new to the forums here. ;_;
In interest of time and whatnot, is Senran Kagura 2 worth buying, even at it's full price tag?
I like Senran Kagura quite a bit, but Burst had a lot of flaws that I had trouble overlooking. I've heard Crimson's presentation and customization is great, which is an incentive, but is it an alright game? If there's a price drop I'd snatch it up but at $50 that's asking a lot for me because I don't have that much money in the world.

You might be looking at one of the physical special-edition copies? Anyways, Senran Kagura 2 is a lot less heavy on the issues that Burst had. My only major complaint is that the game is fairly quick to finish, but it's really good for the relatively short while you play it. I'd recommend if the gameplay and stuff seems like your cup of tea, if you're on the fence, allow me to lean you to the 'buy it' side.

Hmmmm, that's good to know. I do really want just a good Senran Kagura game to dive into, but I didn't enjoy Burst as much as I could have. At least I purchased it when it was on sale.
Deep Crimson is actually still full price on the E-Shop, (49.99). It did go on sale at one point, but I didn't have money at the time.
I could easily look it up myself but I do like hearing other people's thoughts on it. How is the combat and enemy variety? I heard it could be hard, which is nice.

Maybe he is Canadian or from somewhere that's not the United States.
In Canada's eshop the game is indeed 49.99 in digital form due to "currency correction" or something like that.

The game is definitely worth its full price tag since so far, is the SK game with the most content available out of the box. It's a considerable step up from Burst, trying to go for more of a character-driven action game ala God of War or DMC. The game obviously don't reach the same heights but is a massive step in the right direction. The combo videos I posted earlier should be proof enough of what an experienced player can do with the system. The combat is tweaked to that in Burst's so you can't simply use aerial rave to wipe every enemy on the screen and forces you to keeon in mind your timing and inputs to get thorugh the levels. Bosses are quite challenging and you'll need to learn to read their attacks and explode vulnerabilities to beat them and late bosses can be REALLY challenging. Enemy variety is also pretty good having (as per the enemy gallery) 47 different types of enemies sread through all the game and with varying degrees of difficulty. By far my favorite addition was the tag team since it allows to co-op the whole game and while these days the server are pretty much dead (expected for a niche title like this) you can set up sessions with people here in the forum with ease.

Yeah I am, therefore it is expensive. ;_; It's bogus. Funnily enough, the day before smash bros was released, I found out Burst was on sale, so I was able to purchase that on top of Smash bros on lower price. I'm really sad I didn't pick this up while the sale was going on, but I had no money.... which sucks.

Hmmm, that does sound nice. I keep telling myself to look at these videos and I shall soon, and hopefully that should give me an idea. I'll also look at customization as well, because... : 3 I quite enjoy fighting games as well as ones that are quite challenging. As an example I do play Monster Hunter now and then which requires you to keep in mind movement animations and patterns, timing, etcetera. Please oh please do not let it be like Daidouji in Burst, though. That was just annoying to fight a punching bag that at a certain point can one shot you. Like, I get slow moving things, but... that just wasn't fun for me. As for co-op, I'm a bit skeptical. I don't know anyone else in person that likes this franchise and I know for a fact SK is not a game to share easily with others, lol. I also have bad internet but the idea sounds very pleasing and I would take some folks up on that if they were willing to try it. If I go online I also am not keen on sharing my name around too much either, but that is just me. I might just solo it. That sounds pathetic but that's just the situation... I am reading that this game is a step up which does help me decide better. I appreciate all and any more of your feedback, guys.

So yeah guys. Recently I made this mashup: But in the end it didn't sound as what I wanted it to be. It went to the unfinished playlist. The problem was that some frequencies of the song could still be heard in the acapellas I made myself and I couldn't get rid of it. My problem is that i didn't have the FLAC format of two musics present in a very special edition sold only in Japan. Could somebody send me a link or just rip that CD for me? I need it in FLAC format so I can use a technique to remove the vocals more effectively. I want to remake that damned thing so bad guys... please help...

That song is included in the JP SK2's LE?
If it is, I could rip the songs in FLAC format later today.

As indicated in the description of the musics I mentioned (they are in blue since they are links) It's the Senran Kagura 2 -Shinku- Nyuunyuu DX Pack CD. A special CD that, if I'm not mistaken, only came with that particular LE.
If you are really willing to help then when you are saving the FLAC keep in mind that it should have the highest setting possible to avoid any problems when mixing the thing.
And thank you for helping.
