What's that blue dragon supposed to be? That's a Phoenix, not a dragon.

It's the spirit of Ikaruga's sword, Hien.

Might be my favorite Ikaruga card. It's awesome to see something like that

Holy shit, that Ikaruga card is badass. If she was in her/a shinobi outfit I could fullheartedly agree, now I can only halfheartedly agree... Still awesome though! Loving the Miyabi cards as well!

Jeez, I think over the course of the New Wave series, Miyabi's proportions have absolutely sky-rocketed.
She's enormous now...

Fuma's so cute, she'll be a good Hanzo leader once Asuka graduate.

Haha, but I think (or at least assume) it's probably more of a case of a few things, rather than a simple case of titillation. Alternating artists for a lot of the New Wave artwork, as there does tend to be more a 'uniform' look to anything relating strictly to the canon, whereas there is more freedom with how that's played with. The inconsistency just strikes me sometimes, though I also think that's relative to the theme of the cards themselves, as proportions also seem to change to match the particular pose or framing of something. Also, could be a case of a boobs arm-race, as it were. Might sound weird, but from the very beginning, established canon members of the cast had their 'look'. How they were depicted wasn't open to interpretation. The New Wave girls were more a blank slate; avatars. Maybe it's more of how I was exposed to the cards, but that initial period saw some really mundane stuff, whereas anything remotely adventurous was usually seen through the NW cast. I think that may have cast shade on the originals in comparison, and everything has gradually escalated from that point onwards. The Miyabi thing is the perfect example for this, as she was never the biggest, and that was something a character from each team usually had to their distinction. Now though, I'd be hard pressed to accurately say anything, from one card to the next. This isn't a complaint, but just an observation, as someone who lurks this board (particularly this thread).
