(New Wave) Shiki in action.

You peeps should check out the Shiki theme I made. I think you guys are gonna love it as much as I do. B)

Where is it?

Shiki, the valley girl of SK. Is she a likeable one, or an idiot like most valley girls that are blonde? Well, first off, lets start with the backstory.

Before being adopted by Kurokage, Shiki was living a rich, normal life as a valley girl. That is until her parents were killed in duty, which caused Shiki to lose everything. Not only did the death of parents made her sad, it also made her angry. She then heard an old man, which was Kurokage, reciting the buddhist heart sutra. As Shiki made contact with Kurokage, Kurokage told her about how the world is filled with evil and darkness and that it should be eradicated. He decided to take in Shiki to help her get stronger and to help get rid of the darkness and possibly avenge her parents. Funny enough, Shiki didn't get along with Yumi and co. at first due to the frustration of losing her parents, so Kurokage decided to teach Shiki the buddhist heart sutra to help her keep her anger in check. From that moment, she was able to become more friendly with Yumi and co. little by little. At some point, her and the other enlisted in Gessen and became the elite squad for that school.

Alright, so as the story unfolded in SV, she develops the same way as Yumi and co., by understanding that light also has darkness, how the world needs darkness to keep the balance, and that they should follow their own ideals and not someone else's. I'm not sure how much she develops in EV since there's no English translation of any kind of the story at the moment.

Now, as for her personality, it's what you expect from a valley girl, which is being friendly with everyone they talk to and very talkative. She's also pretty chilled and laid back almost all the time. Even though she is a blonde valley girl, she is surprisingly intelligent and tech savvy, which a lot of blonde valley girls aren't. I really like that since it helps her stand out more. It's also pretty funny how she likes giving everyone she talks to nicknames.

Overall, Shiki is a nice, likeable character that deserves a chance. She may be a blonde valley girl, but she's a lot smarter than she looks.

Shiki's probably the most annoying character in the whole franchise.

From the moment she starts talking, it makes me want to punch her in the face. Thankfully, she quickly shows to not be a complete bitch by being nice to Murakumo at times... What makes this all the worse, is that her fighting style is SO AWESOME!

The bats, the DOUBLE-BLADED scythe, the poison breath... This is a theme I'm noticing a lot witht he Gessen girls... So far I'm not liking any of the characters, but (besides Murakumo), I am LOVING their fighting styles.

Didn't like Shiki at first. But after playing as her alot I started to like her more and more ^^
