How is Shiki's thread only one page? The rambler to the rescue!!! =D Has anyone else noticed just how much older Shiki appears than she really is? (and I don't just mean how her boobs are the biggest in her team despite being 2 months younger than Minori. MINORI!) She's tall, has a mature face and figure, she seems somewhat motherly at times, in refference to how she tries to get Murakumo to act less shy, yet not motherly in the same way Yozakura acts towards Minori. Infact, it's especially interesting that Shiki acts older than her age when Minori acts younger. |

To be honest... I need to directly apologize to Shiki. I was making a list of "fan service characters" which, by my definition, is a character with no personality or impact on the plot and is only present because of their appearance.
I originally said that Shiki was the only example of that in Senran Kagura. (i mean, just look at her level 3 special attack. Without spoiling... that seems kinda anti productive.)
However, now I know she's the exact opposite! She has a wonderful personality, she is very important to her friends, her backstory is touching, her overall character is relatable, and her fighting style is friggin' AWESOME!
Shiki is the perfect metaphor for Senran Kagura: can't judge a book by its cover.
