So the duckies are being retooled in case of copyright cadavers. In this case...this is now an anthology of sorts, kinda like Heavy Metal or something with a lot more humor and satire.
Here's the premise: humans live in a world filled with cartoon and anime characters, and because of that there's dramatic changes to social and political tropes to fit their needs. The stories revolve on various denziens - human, cartoon, anime and the many stories happening in their personal lives.
Despite the cartoonish nature of the graphic novel - let me bold this - IT'S NOT INTENDED FOR KIDS. There's comedic sequences of graphic violence and gore, sexual content in various positions, nudity (full frontal or bare breasts), coarse language, drug use, ya get the idea.
I'm pitching this baby to Dark Horse around when I get a proposal story done. Wish me luck.

So Toons meeting Anime? Kappa Mikey comes to mind.
Also, real humans meeting animated fiction? Who Framed Roger Rabbit comes to mind.

In some ways, yes - it's like mixing Kappa Mikey and Roger Rabbit, but a more realistic portrait of the latter.

Here's an update:
Recently I'm retooling the Berry and Craig story into something else - don't get me wrong, I like the characters but the story was rather meh. Instead, I made two cop characters, Fritz and Mustaine, and their story is them busting a growing drug cartel.

All I can comment is for me character is king. Make them interesting and keep me engaged in about any story.

Update 2:
Got a flash drive to save my work onto, that way if my lappy kicks the bucket then I got all of my work safe and sound!

Update 3:
Production is slow. While I managed to get some bits down yesterday (because SPRING BREAK YO) I'm trying to balance my schoolwork and writing while not trying to frustrate myself to death. Still, I need to get a budget and maybe a illustrator that can draw cartoon and anime artwork - I got Kodachi on board, but time will tell what can happen beyond that.

Whoo, first update in a while!
Now so far I just got bits and pieces of the second and third stories done (along with distractions of Call of Duty Black Ops, dogs and Garry's Mod). But I'm stuck with trying to be funny and dialogue - dunno why. If you guys got any advice for me, this is the perfect chance to do so!

Another update, this one is really critical:
I'm gonna retool Toons into something different, this time stories featuring my characters The Duck Brothers, mainly because if I'm doing something that features irrelevant characters getting into wierd and slapstick-oriented antics, it's more easier to write...so yea.
Also, I'm parodying MissHannahMinx...BECAUSE I CAN. :I

I scrapped the parody of MissHannahMinx because as of March 2014 she's been MIA from the internet for god knows how long. I will however, parody the Breadwinners characters in place of that.
Anyway, I introduced some new characters, and 3 stories:
Feminism Shmeminism - Tommy and Steve must deal with a random so-called "feminist" ranting about the strong sexual content of their new show while Larry and Undey go camping with their friends and butt heads with a elitist park ranger.
(NOTE: The first story might turn some off, but it's supposed to poke fun at these people who act like they're feminists, but end up coming off as attention seekers instead. Just so I'd clear that up and not cause a shitstorm)
Cooking is My Business... - Steve discovers he has a gifted cooking talent and winds up competing with two other rival cartoon ducks on a cooking show. Tommy does some volunteer work at a military base as a way to get some peace and quiet from the press; but ends up being stalked by a paparazzi.
Home Sweet Duck - When the Duck Brothers' mansion suffers damage from a massive storm, Tommy, Steve and Larry stay at a lavish penthouse apartment where a smart, but psychotic sentient computer controls the entire apartment. Ironically, Undey also sets up shop in a empty room at the same apartment for his counterfeit money operation.

Ugh...I got a fever, but thankfully it's a very small one. So I ain't gonna work on my graphic novel until I get better, hopefully by next week.

I would just advise when touching social issues to either be fair or if you use it for comedy expect some backlash. Best of luck to you.

You guys make some good points there - social issues are pretty hard to tackle; but the most effective way I believe is to sensitively deal with the subject; but use satire or humor to lighten the mood.
