I was pleasantly surprised by the anime (well, without understanding the dialogue yet). The art direction is very visually pleasing, the voice acting is great, the pacing was pretty good, the tone was balanced, and the fanservice felt right where it was supposed to be (though I could see how some could be disappointed that there wasn't more). If I have any concerns, it would be the animation quality and the tone balance. The animation quality in the first episode was pretty good, especially the beginning mission with Asuka; I hope that the quality remains on that level throughout the series, especially when it comes to fights. Concerning tone balance, if the intro is anything to go by, the anime won't be shy about going into the girls' backstories, which I'm looking forward to; I just hope things don't get too heavy on the animation's part. I'm also heavily anticipating the appearance of Daidouji-senpai and Suzune. The studio who're animating this, Artland, are the same people who did the game's openings so I have no complaints for the animation either. I did think there were some occasions where it went a bit weird, such as the faces: link. Good god, Ikaruga looks like a lopsided alien. It's like the animator almost fell asleep and decided to leave it in there. Aside from that, the animation quality is pretty good.

The intro is pretty damn neat. Haven't watched the full episode because I can't find a subbed version yet, though.

senran.tv/products/Oddly they've revealed the contents of all 6 volumes on the website. I missed that because no-one really does that. Anyway. All volumes have a special jacket, setting materials booklet, bath poster, a drama CD, OVA and a picture label (?). (all translatations are my poor attempts) Volume 1 is on the previous page 2: CD "Exciting amusement park date" OVA "Concealing naked Hibari" 3: CD "1st all in grand prix" OVA "I want to bury my head in those breasts!" <YES! 4: Hebijou version 3 volume box CD: "Shinobi Sentai: Kagura Five" OVA: "Ikaruga style exercise" 5: CD "Hanzou and Kiriya's covert operation" OVA "Forbidden! Fear of the unopened space" I have no idea for this one 6: CD "Day of truce" OVA "Showdown with the rivals with no honour" or something like that. The contents are disappointedly ordinary. Sure the OVAs will be cool, as will the posters, but there's nothing that stands out.

Takagi tweeted that the anime will air subtitled in America from next week. Sounds like someone has licensed it. He used the same phrasing as when he said he'd "wrap the world in boobs" so it seems like he was referring to this and not the games.

Well that is at least encouraging that the show will raise awareness

Wait, is he implying that it's going to air on TV? Hard to tell. <_< I highly doubt it, what television channels actually air anime in the United States these days? My guess is online and/or DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Instead of 'airing' I should've written 'broadcasting'. That's what he actually said, my bad. He'll have most likely meant Crunchyroll.
Why he specified America was slightly irritating, I hate it when people consider America to be 'worldwide'. France has an anime/manga scene which could rival Americas from what I've read. It doesn't matter much to me though as I've given up on the market over here, I've been disappointed too many times to give it any more money. I import everything now, my money goes straight to the people involved instead of to a licensor who releases products with terrible quality on all levels.
