Still think that's stupid.... Once i see for myself, then, i'll have a better idea, but that doesn't change ny thoughts about anyone can beat anyone, depending on how you use said character to beat your opponents.

Those problems are pretty minor imo. That's not gonna affect my thoughts on SV. Also, i'm sure any character can beat anyone, depending on how you use said character. I always believe that the whole tiers thing is really stupid. Indeed tier is a joke if the game is not fully understood. But when two players have almost the same skill, it is the tier that comes to play. e.g. If one choose Yumi and they other choose Hikage, it is safe to say that the Hikage player will struggle to win even 1 in 100 sets. All the Yumi player need to do is spam triangle hold, and when opponent get close, square, triangle, circle loop (if you use this online you might get kicked out by Japanese). Hikage's dash has no invincibility frames and the accuracy of transformed Yumi's square, triangle is ridiculously high. Worse still, Yumi has 1000 health, Hikage has only 480, and Miyabi has almost 1500...

No, I mean tiers are stupid completely, even when the game is fully understood.

OK. When you find the countermeasures against the cheap tricks like Yumi's and Yagyuu's sq,tri, cir loop, Katsuragi and Miyabi's triangle hold, Haruka's infinite sq,cir loop, Homura's inifine air sq cir loop, please do let me know.
Actually there is a long list of banned moves and banned players made by Japanese. If one do that online he will be blacklisted so when he enter a lobby he is likely to get kicked out.
Hope we can play sometime ,though I doubt whether it is possible to play online between Japanese and English version.

Okay, those are just balance issues. I'm just saying tiers, in general, is stupid entirely.

Generally speaking 3DS is for kids and VITA is for otakus (I too have both before you say it) and we all know who buys SK stuff. SK2 was in my opinion a step backwards and seems the reception supports this. 3DS is for everyone, not kids. You can't really make a judgement based on what you see out in the open -- the only 3DS owners I know and see aren't kids, but I'm not going to draw a conclusion from it. 3DS is a massmarket device, even its install base passed PS3's in Japan over a year ago. Vita is the otaku machine, though, yes, much like how X360 was last generation (thanks to im@s and other titles).

We should stop here and respect each others' opinion lol. Just pointing out the truth with some evidence to back it up, is all. People can think what they want, but it's pretty obvious 3DS isn't for kids given the variety and depth of software it garners, and the install base it has. But yes, let's leave that line of discussion behind us (I also didn't scroll down the page further to see what happened afterwards!) Though I might add I just remembered that Shinovi Versus was a spin-off and in a completely different genre (it bares more in common with Dynasty Warriors than any beat 'em up), so direct comparisons with SK2 aren't going to be fair given the games set out to do different things.

Sorry I was talking to Leon on the disscussion over tiers in fighting games, I agree with your argument on 3ds.

Oh, I respect your opinions, Allen. Trust me, if you want to follow the whole tiers thing, be my guest.

Regarding "3DS is easier to make for," is this so? I would think, if both consoles are getting the same quality visuals, more or less, then the 3DS would actually be the harder one since they have to compensate for the lack of things and then have to add the 3D effect.
