Considering other games like SoniPro, released at the same time as SK2, also failed misreably, you can pretty much see the audience for fanservice is now on Vita. Akihabara was totally advertising SK2, and the sales are ridiculously low. I think it'll be the lowest sales of all SK games... The audience is indeed the 1st reason, but also the game in itself. No improvement, it's simply Burst with some more characters, 2-3 gimmicks (team battles, etc...) and bullshit by Takaki saying the main timeline will be on 3DS. Shinovi Versus improved everything from Burst, the way fans asked. And now they're back at stage 1. Customers aren't stupid anymore now. It's about time for Takaki to reflect on the future of the serie. "imporve everything" are you kidding? I agree that Senran SV is a great game but, when compared with burst, as a matter of fact they simplified the commandlist, combined sen mode and uniform into one thing, decreased character themes from 2 to 1, and used the same moveset for all shinobi tenshin and changing room animations. Well, I guess that was all for saving money. Have you even played it that you didn't notice those points? BTW when burst and SV are released, that is just after the price drop of both 3ds and Vita, and Shinei was released when there wasn't many wide selection of games for 3ds. For Senran 2 the competition is much fiercer and the new system is not apealling to everyone it seems(some might be too lazy to learn new things, as you can see those pay-to-win social games are prevailing in Japan). Let's wait and see what EV will present.

Saying that Senran Kagura 2 shows no improvement whatsoever compared to Burst really shows that you doesn't even know much about the game. SK2 it's a great game and it's clear that Takaki put a lot of effort and love into this game, aside all the bugs that are going to be fixed the game clearly shows a huge advance in the gameplay of the series. Not saying that is the best but it's pretty damn good.

I'm curious how Bullet Girls and Neptunia U will do.
I see these 2 games being very telling in the upcoming weeks.
I don't mean that in a system wars standpoint. Neptunia U especially, since its SK with in the Neptunia universe.

Now im hearing because SK2 did not have a dlc system in place for the first week it will be harder for them to sell stuff and with all the problems they may have to lower dlc prices or give free promotion.
Just don't know if people care for the dlc they are selling. Only the shooter maybe intresting. Im more worried about a patch breaking my game.
Don't know why they did not push the date for release back .

I know BG and Nep U are Vita games, but people are grouping those 3 together. I'm hoping the Neptunia fanbase doesn't cause the game to bomb. We all know about the hate Noire's game and PP got. But I'm looking at those 2 others as...a test subject. Are fanservice games dead now? That is my reason for keeping an eye out on them. If they do bad then "Life and Hometown" Heaven might become a thing of the past. But I don't want to be a negative nancy. I'm hoping for more sales.
But if I do find out that an optional DLC character was the cause of this....I will become Godzilla and attack Japan myself.

Um, so, SK2 didn't sell well? That's a shame since it looks so much better than Burst. Even if it did sell well I couldn't really think of another game on the 3DS. I just hope this doesn't alienate making possible games for future Nintendo systems if the series goes that long.

I also think we should wait until they say if SK2 was a success or a failure.

Also, I hear very little care for or even mentioning of the DLC from fans anywhere. This should've been pushed back even if it was just for fixing the bugs. I've seen worse launches (Sei Madou Monogatari's game breaking and bricking bug come to mind)

I would only buy dlc if it adds a character or adds missions with a story.

Senran Kagura 2 needed a lot more characters.
I was actually planning on not buying SK2 until Xseed announced that the Hanzo figures wouldn't come with the English release of SV, and I didn't want to get screwed over, because Xseed didn't want the west to have the SK2 figures. Plus I kinda wanted the Haruka figure.
Now that I'm hearing the game is riddled with bugs and lacks a lot of characters from the other games, I'm some what regretting my purchase. Hopefully more characters get added through DLC, but from the looks of things I won't hold my breath.

At least it's hanging in there. Erm, yeah, that is definitely "glass half full" way of seeing it. Pretty shocking this will end up being worst selling of the 4 SK games (I have no clue with Dekamori being digital only).
