Nope, the only restriction on characters is no custom movesets. You can change characters as often as you want.

Yo, sign me up for this! My FC is: 3222-5567-9695
As for a stage list, we should run Battlefield, Final Destination, Yoshi's Island, and Lumiose City. Those stages are all definitely legal. Maybe Tomodachi Life and Arena Ferox too.

Alright, got you and Dai added. I suspect those will be the legal stages, maybe one or two more as you said. I'd like to wait and see, but that's prolly the list.

So, Samus for example would slaughter Ike. Thats why counterpicks exist. You can go with neutral stages, or stages that might benefit your character and your play style. All FD promotes campy gameplay, so Samus, Ike, Falco and such have really distinct advantages.

That doesnt even make sense. The FD versions are all the exact same thing with different aesthetics, nothing more. How is -that- not more boring? At least the other stages have more platforms and allow for variety. And yes, I am. Not as much as the Wii U version, but a tournament is a tournament. May as well play by some familiar, good rules. If you dont like that, I dont really know what to tell you. And Hibari, FC please~

it's ok I won't ruin your tournament so you don't need to change for me I will just give up my spot. I been trying to learn about the game and I can't do this by changing the formate that the game came in outside custom characters.

Fair enough, Dai. I just think its more interesting to try different stages too. I mean, when players agree to fight on FD, any version of FD can be picked, since it wont make a difference.
Also, got you up on the post Hibari. We've got 6 people, so double elimination is go. Hopefully we can reach 8!
