Little miss complicated Mirai is a very strange character in that she is a zoner or a long ranged character all the time. This means unlike the other girls you always want some distamce between you and the enemies.
Controlling Mirai's gun attacks is extremely important since you want to keep everyone out since she has low heath and does little damage. Once enemies are close suddenly mirai's option are cut as almost everything is based on her ability range ability's. She is also complicated because she requires a better learning and performing of her strings attacks because one wrong button and enemies are on you.
Yin mode / non turnover
In this form Mirai is basic and cool and easy to manage at this point you have her gun in to her attack luncher YYY this is great and you have her quick launcher YYX also a staple move. Mirai has a pretty nice dive attack, its not the best but its quick. also she can super jump with the use of her air X attack cancel and her air X is a great move because it lets you bounce off enemies. Mirai has a good but its just short and is kind of hard to do consistantly when you need it. Her limit break is pretty weak but other then that ok whats so good about this girl that she is winning popularity votes
Gun control- Mirai's gun attacks allows her to stay far away and attack with basic shots and while it may not seem like much when combined with the old beat em up mentality of using you enemies long hit stun animation againt them to hold them back you will see where her basic attacks can be some of her strongest. once you learn the timing and when to shoot and when you know you have the ability to shot 2 shots then pause and do it again if a faster and faster way you will see how her ground game opens up and the more move she is givin later just makes this easier. Mirai's jumping Y attack is her press button to shoot attack you can press this any time in the air and it will shoot. This brings a kind of diffrent way of playing her and its more like a shooting game when you jump because f you can control her the right way in the air the whole time you can be shooting enemies. Kinda similar to how Hibari is now but just with more air control and a weaker attack.
Counter - Mirai's ground X attack or her counter attack is a huge move for her because she is the only one that can block and counter with her gun it gets trick because there are frames of animation where you can not be hurt and you can cancel the counter into another counter to extend this for a longer period. I have yet to see the full potential of her counter system but I can say that it affects her ablilty to dash cancel correctly.
Yin mode / turnover transformed
This is where Mirai's attacks strings start getting really complicated because once leveled up she will throw out so many moves with so many properties to the move that it will overide a move you just did so you must watch every button press with her not to miss chances and drop combos. Outside of her new moves is Ninpou and there is something to be said about them. her First and second Ninpou use her large gun and first one you can control and is just linear shots front to back if you want and the second she just spins shooting her Gun with her umbrella as a flame thrower. both are strong but need some setting up to get the max out of them. Miari's air Ninpou is more intresting. when done low to the ground it does not do man hits but if done high enough in the air the bullets will spread and create a huge combo and while the ninpou is not strong you can contiue doing another after another while falling. Mirai seems to have the most in consstant air combos in the game and you can change the hits from time to time and its heavly affected by frame drops in the game.
Senran mode / secret art unlock
In this form Mirai is givin some good moves, she is givin 2 ways to launch enemys that are around her and the ability to cover herself and shoot in all directions with a new string attack. Other then that Mirai is way way more vulnarable and her movment is not as good so you may need to used ninpou and limit breaks. even her dive attack is not as good. But at least you are not the last form
Yang mode / Bikini form
Problem here is mirai has low health a bad limit break short dash and just not a way to gain meter other then her counter attack this is when that move will see the most use from her. One advantage she has is as ground forms go this is her best form and her ground control amd gun control are spot on and gone are the crazy gun tricks now its all about shooting and thats what she needs. Her dive attack is also a major tool once again with the small speed increase she gets from this mode. I would say she is fun if you did not have to play so hard not to get touched once or your dead.
While she is not as bad as some characters in the game and she has her gimmicks her lack of power is what most people will see because there is just no way around this fact when compared to the other girls. even Hibari has a strong attack for no reason but to make up for her weak attacks overall.
