Let's rant about Haruka, her personality, her back story, her incomparable beauty , her fighting style, her libidinous figure , and her interaction with other characters. This is going to be an ongoing series by the way.First off her back story, why does she like to pick on Hibari? Why did she become a ninja? According to a blog I've found not too long ago, it's explains some of the characters' backgrounds and Haruka's was particularly interesting. Aside from wanting to beat this guy's ass til he's half-dead, bury him in a shallow grave, dig him up, beat him again, and feed his remains to his mother (cause no fool messes with my chick), I know that means that she isolates herself from other people and has developed a hobby making dolls to talk to. I guess you guys are shocked to hear that. She's also referred to as a sadistic young lady that likes to bully meek and shy girls. That's why her sights are set on Hibari. You may have zoned out into a vision of S&M when I said "sadistic" but all I see is a broken heart that needs mending. Next, let's infer her physical abilities. How strong is she? How fast is she? How high can she jump? Can she kill a man with a flick of her wrist? Can she kill a bull with a flick of her wrist? I'm going off of what I saw in the opening animation and the manga but is she as strong as (or stronger than) her comrades? She was able to fling Hibari far into the air and a Hebijou ninja high off a bridge. Is she an unstoppable killing machine, and why would she need to be that powerful? She wears this huge lab coat (looks great on her) and throws test-tubes, so she has to be very smart. She's at the top of her class so she excels academically. So she must be the mad scientist of the group as she's also seen in a basement laboratory under the school. What kind of voice would be perfect for her if this get's localized? I was thinking somewhere around a seductive voice mixed with a popular girl voice, while keeping the vocal range of an 18 year old girl. Finally, I've heard of a manga called Senran Kagura: Senshi Bankō no Haruka that started back in September 7th and is currently ongoing. I know nothing of this manga except that Haruka's the main character and I'm pulling my hair out about this. Could anyone tell me what the title means and what type of situation she's in? Feel free to sound off below and rant about everything "Haruka". ;D

Haruka needs a hug and I would love to do just that, she needs to know that there are men who aren't pig disgusting as her old teacher. I'd also like said teacher to be sent flying sky high by her.
As for why she needs that power, easy what if she meets her old teacher again, she might want her revenge and wouldn't mind it happening.
I'll be looking for a raw of Banko no Haruka soon.
Have a link to the blog btw?

I would think she was at the top of her class and into science before she meet that teacher he is the one that sent her over the edge. That drove her to become crazy and become stronger. Just because she does this does not mean she leaves science behind she just now uses it in a diffrent way. As for power and skill you can tell from here mangafox.me/manga/senran_kagura_shoujotachi_no_shinei/v02/c013/30.htmlThat even Asuka is nothing to her but in the recent Famitsu manga I posted on another thread on the last page she was about to get beat by Daidouji and she was scared so she has a limit and is not on the level of the senors or teachers. She strong but not unstoppable. Close to it if you can't make physical contact with her in a fight though.

Wasn't the reason she had a thing for dolls is because her mother kept her inside all the time and treated her like a doll? She was tempted to burn the house down at one point but then Suzune/Rin came and stopped her and suggested for her to become a ninja.
At least that's what I got from the story in Burst.
Oh and Senshi Bankō no Haruka is just filled with fanservice. I've not read it but Haruka starts off each chapter then it's focused on others. Chapter two shows Mirai picking up a lost kitten and looking after it, some stuff happens including bath scenes and ends with Haruka taking a picture of a smiling Mirai.

Again, no fool messes with my chick. It's all coming together that Haruka has had a long track record of emotional damage. She needs our love. How exactly was she treated like a doll? Would Haruka consider coming to the US for whatever desire?

The details of how exactly she was treated like a doll is beyond my level of JP reading. iirc she was kept inside by her mother, dressed up and home schooled, I vaguely remember reading how she saw other children playing around outside Now I want to go back to the chapter and try to fully translate it.
@wave: I've been attempting to translate both of those new manga. It's taking a bit of time though..

This was in the Novel part early in the game right? I always skipped over those parts for some reason when I got the game. I have not replayed with the story on I need to do so but man those novels are long.

Yeah, the novel sections but I'm not sure where exactly, that's why I want to go back and check. They're the only parts I struggle with because my reading comprehension is very bad.
I used to skip those sections in the first game because my reading was worse than it is now. That's why when I read Katsuragi say that that is not her real name in my second run of the first game, I was extremely surprised.

Ya even japanese players where like WTF it was too much reading for an action game. I like the story parts better I wish they put the bulk of ths stuff there its much easier to just listen then to read. I skipped alot of the second game because it was too games I had to play so I had to move quick and even so I have like 106 hours on that game and thats all gameplay and breaking everything down for both sides as best I could.

I've been replaying the first game and I just wanted to clarify, TwinTails, what you read about Haruka's past is actually Homura's past however what you wrote in your first post isn't all true. I've expanded on this in the manga thread because it's more appropriate there.

Do you mean the first game or the one included in burst? I played the first I miss the movement, that game was so fast. They also changed more costume colors then I thought Homura's red Costume is not even in Burst.

I've been playing the first game in Burst to get that final picture. I miss how quick the movement was in the first game but I'm having fun playing it. I haven't played around with the costumes at all, all I've done is put bunny ears on Hibari because it suits her.

Dude I gave up on unlocking the pics the requirments are too high. do you know what 41 is? it better be a nude pic for all the work they ask. I have not even got the symbles or rabbit pic yet.

I got all of the pictures in the first game, they weren't that hard to get so they won't be hard in Burst's version. The Hebijou pictures in Burst weren't hard, they just took a long time because I had to wait until bosses used their secret move. I have all of them bar the very last one, 41, which I think is what someone shared in a previous thread; Asuka and Homura hugging with text saying 'Thanks for playing' or something.
