Hey guys, if you're wondering where I've been lately, my mother went to the hospital earlier this month. I don't really know what to do after my brother had to be the one to tell me that her condition may be more severe. She just made it seem like everything was okay and she told me not to worry. She went to the doctor in October after she told me about blood appearing in her mucous over 4 weeks and I told her to go to the hospital the next morning. She came back a few days before her regularly scheduled doctor's appointment and went to that as well. They said it was a lesion caused by HIV on the back of her lung. A little after she got home was when we noticed her breathing got worse and she just assumed it was the leftover mucous.
She was planning to go again but her friend came in the day before and called an ambulance. After a day she called and told me her breathing problems were caused by pneumonia she had gotten during her previous visits and that she was about to go into surgery to get the lesion sealed up. The day after was when my grandma called and told me to ask her anytime if I needed anything. It was just my brother checking up on me until the day he told me that the procedure didn't go well and her condition got worse. I was hoping for her to get better when it was today that he came into our house and told me that she may have lung cancer.
Well, I don't know what else I should do. He said they fixed the lesion but couldn't get rid of the cancer until she's able to breath on her own, but he also said they needed to get her down from 15 to 5. I really want her to get better, but I didn't know it would get this bad. He told me that I was the one that should have said something but I did all I could for her and thought things would be okay. He said that all we can do is pray for now, and that she may be in the hospital for another month. I'm sure things will get better, I have no other option but to be sure.

Aye, I'm real sorry to hear it brother. I'm really hoping that it goes better. There's not much knowledge I can offer, but if you ever need to vent worries or anything about the situation, you're free to lay it on me.

I know I should've been more calm about this than I was earlier today, but the way my brother reacted and it being really early in the morning put me into a down period for a bit. She's been through pneumonia before and they discovered the cancer very early, so they're just waiting for the pneumonia to clear up before they can get rid of it. I just need to remember to keep a leveled head about this. I'm sure she's getting all the proper treatment she needs. Your support really helped out.

TT maybe I can help you can pm me I did not tell anyone but im in the hospital now for a similar surgery and I think they told me what they told your mom.
I doubt she can do much because they rushed her in then get her to sign papers then mess up that is the scam.

TT maybe I can help you can pm me I did not tell anyone but im in the hospital now for a similar surgery and I think they told me what they told your mom. I doubt she can do much because they rushed her in then get her to sign papers then mess up that is the scam. Okay, I'll shoot you the PM sometime soon. I read that antibiotics have an 80% chance of curing the pneumonia within 2-3 days, and since that's the source of her breathing problems and why she initially went to the hospital, that's first priority right now. I've heard a bit about how hospitals operate in Japan but I'm at least still interested in what you have to say. |

Geez, everyone and hospitals lately. Hope that goes well for you Dai. im as bad off as his mother he just needs to not let these hospitals take you for a fool they did it to me for years. this is a business for them you stay sick they make money. they will drag it out if they can. |

I've heard a bit about how hospitals operate in Japan but I'm at least still interested in what you have to say. even if they say they can fix it they never promise 100% uless you request complete treatment which is alwAys extreme but might be better and save time and money most of the time it is 90 or 80 so the cancer can return in no time. |

But then the second procedure made it worst. Things are just now worse than I was originally anticipating! My brother came in tonight and took out a paper with scribbles on it, and he let me know that my mother is too unable to write in coherent sentences. So she's far from being well enough to speak or even move properly. It was only the 4th of this month when she last called me and told me she had pneumonia, but then he came in on the 8th and said she got sicker than before after her medical procedure went wrong. What did they even do for her to get like this? I was sure she was getting proper medication after that so I was doing fine on my own and people were telling she was getting better, so I was about to keep going my usual business. Now for the part that I didn't already go over, he came over and brought food with him but he said that there may be some times where he wont have any money for me, and if things get tough then we may have to pawn some items in our house - like our expensive electronics. Part of what he says is "manning up". He also said that since I'm 19, I should already have a job. There's not that many places in my immediate area that I can apply for a good job. I'll give this to you guys straightforwardly, I don't have money for any kind of bus fare and I don't have a driver's license or my own car. My mom being in the hospital put me in a very compromising situation, so I was practically stuck here until she comes home. I believe he plans on spending the night here, so I'm guessing he needed a place to rest until morning. He even told me not to answer the door while he's visiting, but that's on a note that he's probably being followed by the authorities.

I was forced to work at an early age or get thrown out. it will make you stronger if you can make it through the early days of first finding a job.
As for your mom this is exactly why I give my hospital hell all the time they can mess up and not be blamed because someone sign the right to sue away. any stay in the hospital is serious and if you are able you should always check on them because the situation can change so fast.
