I sincerely hope they don't plan to not localize ReNewal. That would suck royally. I’m pretty sure either XSeed or Marvelous EU (can’t remember which one atm) had already teased it among the games planned for localization.

Yeah yeah. Everyone here know you don't like Burst Re: But sincerely I can't understand why. The return of the good and dark storyline> "Meh" A lewd mini-game on Switch> "Hell yeah !"
Don't complain if the future SK games was like "Oh Pinball with Boobs ! Oh I can touch the Ass of my Waifu !" But personally, that's not really what i wanted of a SK. So I'm pretty happy about the sales of Burst. And i think that's the game is SO MORE AMAZING than PBS, the cancer of the franchise.

I'd like to see a localization of this over Refle. Though I honestly just hate Refle. I mean... I don't own a PS4, so I'd not be able to play it right away, but after trying to replay Burst after tackling the newer games it is kind of a nightmare. Though admittedly I've not been following news of this game at all so I'm not entirely sure what's been changed or added for better or worse.

I'm still hyped for Burst: ReNewal, though as I've said before, it'll be the first time playing through the Story of Burst [So that's the majority of the reason why], and the first Senran Kagura game i played was Estival Versus so the gameplay being in that vein is fine for me as i quite liked the gameplay of EV. i just don't wanna wait AGES for Burst: Renewal.

I have the same feelings you do about Burst:Renewal. I'm still hyped for the game, and I want to playthrough the story of Burst, and I don't want to wait a long time for them to announce a release date for the US.

Anyone got any release date predictions. I'm feeling a potential mid June-Julyish date.

Game is dead in the water. Two weeks in and is out of the top 30 with some stores already putting it on sale.

I'm so disappointed...really, when i see a good game like Burst re with poor sales, that makes me think ; this franchise is DEAD. Japanese don't want a good game with better gameplay, a good story and stuff, no. They want some WTF fan-service (Oh, hi PBS !) boobs, and NOTHING MORE. (Oh yeah, Purupuru finishers.) Same case for Deep crimson 2 or Uppers. Not enough Fan-service. Marvelous can sold MORE copies with an empty game with Boobs and 180€ of DLC. Sad.

I agree with you on quite a few points (except Uppers not being a fanservice game, what?) Japan does seem to lean toward a more casual fanservice-y tone, whereas countries overseas seem to enjoy something with more solid gameplay and story (but the fanservice is still part of the series' identity). But I don't think it's totally wrong to let them try something off the wall sometimes (Refle is interesting, albeit repetitive). The problem is that the main line of games have struck a formula that they seemingly refuse to deviate from (and I don't count PBS as a main line game). However, at this point I think it may be a regional difference, unless someone can cite me several sources of Japanese players complaining about the franchise's recent problems.
(PS: I don't like the purupuru finishers either. I feel like they're a waste of my time. Also, I should have some restraint on my parentheses usage.)

I feel as though everyone is trying to crush the spirits of those who want to play the game with all these negative comments towards it. Why can't at least some of us stay hopeful the game won't be a disappoint if it ever gets a release in US?

Why can't at least some of us stay hopeful the game won't be a disappoint if it ever gets a release in US? I feel the same, and i really don't know why. I have the Jp version since day one and I'm not disappointed AT ALL. Yeah the game doesn't have Purupuru, and that's all. The gameplay and just-counters system is great, the Story is great, i don't understand all the negative comments. If some people prefers a "Meh, Wut?" Bad copies of Splatoon, well ok, no problem, but it's not a reason to crush people who want Burst. :/

Waitwaitwait, so we're calling PBS, a fun 3rd person shooter in the SK universe, a less quality game than the best game in the series being redone in EV-style? Hwat?
I'm also not very surprised at the sales figures. There's very little new to be had in the game for fans of the series: most will have played Burst (or at least they have seen the anime/read the manga), and most will have played Estival Versus. Sure, we could squeeze them together, add a little extra content in the form of dropped notes, and expect figures of a brand new game, but I don't even think anyone at Marvelous expected that.
