Hey all... I've seen some other newbies post some introductions months ago, with replies of how this place is like a ghost town and something about a discord (I clicked on some link, but didn't want to give out any credit card info unless you guys can verify there's no shady business going on there)? So, anyway, this seems like the official fan page so I hope things don't get too disappointing and maybe I can get some fellow fan interaction?
In hopes this intro can come through to some viewers, it had only been a month or so ago I got turned on to Senran Kagura, basically on a whim when a buddy sent me a pic (I just checked out the ol' text - It had actually been Valentine's Day) of Burst Re:Newal's collector's edition from GameStop. See, I'm not much of a gamer at all, but got a PS4 after a rough breakup to help cope with being single again, and giving zero #*^!s I let it be known I fell in love with the Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 game he also got me into, primarily because I thought fighting with the chicks was real cool. Listen, I always thought anime was kinda nerdy, but somehow this became my guilty pleasure, and I just pulled the trigger on buying Burst Re:Newal that very night on a trip with him there, right along with the collector's edition of PBS. Man, did I think that was fun unlike any other, and since beating those two games went and got Estival Versus (Endless Summer Ed), which I'm still working on finishing now. I'm hooked.
Hope this isn't long-winded, but I can really get into it, and it's nice to have an outlet to reach others into this franchise. As I've hinted, I don't exactly advertise my new-found fondness to those around me besides the aforementioned best friend of sorts, at least not yet. It's gotten bad enough to where I've actually watched the cartoons, bought that Official Design Works art book, ordered some more pin up cards as found in EV, and have even actually considered those collectible figurines! I mean, there are others into it like this, right?
While it's hard to play favorites as there are so many I like (all of 'em, in a way... not into "yuri", but the characters that seem all about that at least seem light-hearted enough), Ikaruga, Shiki, and Homura stand out (I thought Katsuragi would be my fave, and didn't think I'd like Hikage but she really grew on me), but I think Yumi's my number one.
Let's see... any questions, comments, or concerns? Is there another popular, active forum I should be joining? Thank you for your time and consideration, all that
