With the game’s release approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to put together a little guide to help those planning to import it. Since it will be available as a digital download, you have the option of purchasing Japanese PSN cards to download it rather than importing the physical copy. I will outline both methods below.
First though, you will need a Japanese PSN account to take full advantage of all that the game has to offer since we know there will be downloadable content. Follow this link for step-by-step instructions with pictures.
Although the Vita only allows you to have one account active at the same time, switching between accounts isn’t nearly as difficult as you may imagine. There are several guides online that show you how to do that, here is a link to one of them.
Now that you have that out of the way, it’s time to look into buying the game. Here are some links to places where you can order Japanese PSN cards:
www.japan-codes.com/product-category/playstation-network-card/
nihongoperapera.com/store/buy-japanese-psn-cards.html
www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-ghy-71-1ax-49-en-84-j-70-3xk4.html
All of the sites sell the cards in various denominations. You get a better deal for purchasing larger cards, so it wouldn’t hurt to have a little extra after buying the game in case you want to use some for DLC later. Most sites will send you the code via email immediately or within 24 hours, so you can get right on to PSN and start downloading the game.
If you prefer to have a physical copy of the game, here are some sites that will be selling it:
www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-ghy-71-1ab-49-en-84-j-70-5gh9.html
www.yesasia.com/us/senran-kagura-shinovi-versus-otome-shoujotachi-no-shoumei-normal-edition/1031729528-0-0-0-en/info.html
www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=TVG-PSV-00340&page=
Personally, I prefer the digital download route as it is more cost effective and allows you to get the game almost instantly. But I understand that some people prefer to have the physical copy as well.
I hope this has been helpful. If you have any additional resources to share, please post them!
