tigerfestivalIn my opinion those games you listed aren't inherently harmful. They have their audience and therefore deserve to exist and succeed. Whether they actually are good is something their fans should decide (and should demand changes if not). The problem arises when multiple (by that I mean lots) developers try to cater to that audience, when they are already getting what they want. This is mostly a problem with FPS. I lost count on how many of those are running around these days. Dai-TI recognize this isn't the correct topic for this, so I'll stop. Also my herbal tea is ready.

Only Bioshock, Gears of War, Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are really good FPS, IMO CoD is just the Twilight franchise of the videogames.

Sorry I couldn't help but be entertained by the intense debating going on in this thread, I was then alluded to a video I watched yesterday. In short, it panders some of the blame to Nintendo's most vocal detractors. I encourage you guys to debate about what goes on in the industry as we only have until Wednesday for Nintendo to finally open their mouths about this, it keep's the thread busy for the time being. I'll only want you to stop if it ends up turning into a flame war, so keep it clean.

You said "third parties would run the show" which implies all of them. You can't say Nintendo won't receive GTAVI, when GTAV has released a few months ago, and the sequel will come out in like 4 years due to how the GTA games release. Does anyone truly want games from "The Worst Company in America?" Unless the games are extremely high quality than I don't see how you can label any EA game as "support" for any console. And again, it comes down to the budget for these games. If Square Enix was displeased with Tomb Raider, Hitman and a lot of their western titles. How can you justify a $50 million dollar budget for a PS4/One game? I don't know where your getting the information that Iwata said it was "over." If it is over for Nintendo than it should have been over for Sony years ago when the PS3 wiped out every single penny the PSOne and PS2 made, the Vita is still unprofitable and PS4 is selling at a loss as well. do you have a wiiu? I have two actually. The 32GB Deluxe system and the Zelda Wind Waker version. I have a mixture of first party Nintendo games and third party games. When I have some extra money I plan on picking up the new Batman.
