Bhikkhuni has the bond mechanic and the info makes it look like it follows SK2's model rather than Versus. So yeah, I AM excited for Bhikkhuni It's versus. The girls transform into weapons. You're fighting with one character, the opening movie shows that as well. You fight the other girls and hordes of mooks. The bond mechanic seems to be just there but it seems to just serve as a separate level up mechanic beause other wise what are you powering up. It's the same in SK2, all it did was level your pairs up. There is no indication that Bhikkhuni is anything special or deviant. I mean it's fine if you're ok with it just because it's lesbians, it seems thats what has you hooked. Different strokes and all but please dont try to say how this is reeking with unoriginality when praising VD.

At higher bond, different transformations and better weapons plus, they made a point on making the game characters able to either wield or being wielded so that should be a factor on the gameplay.
Regardless, the fact that mechanic exists makes it different from Versus or any other similar game. Uppers only special feature revealed so far is the motroboating and that is similar to the Gigolo scenes on Killer is Dead. But my biggest gripe is the fact the developers are going on record as the game being mindless and without any complexities. tha doesn't really puts it ahead of a cell phone game.

At higher bond, different transformations and better weapons plus, they made a point on making the game characters able to either wield or being wielded so that should be a factor on the gameplay. As opposed to at higher levels unlocking more combos at higher levels of flash, yin, and yang? There are like, 7 player characters and you'll be fighting those player characters and maybe some mook only missions. Does choosing character A or B at the start of missions really factor into the gameplay at all? Would versus change if you got to decide to use Murakumo or Hibari at the start of a mission? You're still beating a player boss. If they had giant monster battles like in SK2, I'd hope that they would advertise it but the opening movie seems to just make it seem what it looks like: big titted girls on an island that orgasm to turn into weapons. I'm still going to get it because I like musous, fanservice, and Takaki but I'm not going to say it's anything special at all with some sort of originality. I dont think we'll have to worry about a story for it though, which is for the best. Not to mention you haven't seen any gameplay regarding either of the games, all the images from the game present it as a versus reskin, only trying to appeal to more niche crowd. Just seems like a typical musou beat'em up with a gimmick. But whatever, I'll agree to disagree.

A game being simple doesn't means it has to be mindless. Just look at Streets of Rage 2, Alien VS Predator, the Final Fight series, Double Dragon Neon or Scott Pilgrim vs The World Nobody's said anything about mindless so far. Just that it doesn't have complex controls or "reason to fight," which can be interpreted any number of ways.

(the reason I couldn't get into Versus is because they're more musous than brawlers) I know we've all said this before, but the fact is they're 3D brawlers with some competitive elements mixed in. SV, at least, isn't really a musou game. I know Takaki joked about it, but they just don't play like them. Typical Musou = Open map, territory control is a factor, with reinforcements appearing and you having to manage stuff along the way. I could go on, but really-- SV = You go one by one through closed spaces, clearing out the enemies lets you move on, there's typically never a need to go back, you fight the boss at the end of the closed spaces, and that's it. Neptunia U and presumably the followup both already have a bonding mechanic, not to mention certain Warriors games have had bonding mechanics that lead to marriage and children being generated. Also, they didn't say it would be m indless per se, did they? Not to mention how they've described it already inherently contradicts that anyway - but it sounds to me more like it's just that you can go wild. What it felt like they meant was more that there wouldn't be complicated combos to pull off like Street Fighter ones.

It looks alright and I'm always happy to have a new brawler to play but otherwise I'm not as excited as I am for Valkyrie Drive but that's because I have a preference for cute girls over manly men.
Nothing against it but unless it's fun I'm really not feeling it for this title.

Now you have my attention. I still think the characters look lame and the game itself seems uninspired but I can't say no to luchadores

I really like the main two and at least half of the new guys. I'd say I'm definitely in, I think.

Am also more excited for Valkyrie Drive than for this, as well... this seems incredibly generic so far. May turn out to be good when more info comes of course. We'll see. Nothing against it but unless it's fun I'm really not feeling it for this title. I don't think I'm feeling it for any title unless it's fun... That seems tautological to me XD
