NewWave Name Translation index (updated 12/5/2016!)

on the 12th of December 2016, there seems to have been an update done to the autotranslator, as new names started showing up in place of other ones. all names in bold are new. i've kept the old ones unbolded just in case.

So with most of us playing the game though Google Chrome and because of the autotranslating function poorly translating everything, we all know the pain of looking at a card's leader skill and seeing an unfamiliar name.

So I've compiled this list of different translated names (and untranslated, since sometimes the translator does that...) and matched them up with the appropriate name. This list should help people struggling to find the cards they need to activate a link skill (especially new players who are unfamiliar with the game and the different schools)

Furthermore, sometimes certain characters' names end up getting translated to something completely different depending on the page you're on, so this should also help that problem. Some of these translations I've never actually seen - I took these from looking at individual cards and looking at the Phonetic, like so.



I've only done this to be on the safe side.

Also, keep in mind that I don't have cards for every character. I'm currently missing cards for Misato and Rin. That said, I've done my best with whatever info I can manage to find. I encourage everyone to keep a look out on other translation goofs so the list can always be up to date.

If a girl isn't on this list, then assume that her name gets translated correctly 100% of the time. Note: Earlier today when the new event began (1/24/2016, the Paint War event for future reference,) there was a prompt to choose your 3 favorite girls. Since currently only Naraku and Kagura are listed as independents, they were the only two options. however, the autotranslator translated someone's name as "Shinto music" and I have no recollection on whether or not this was Kagura or Naraku, so if anyone can help with that, please do!
