We know the timeline but do we know what year?
-MY OPINION- It takes place in 2011. If it take place in 2011 that means the year the senran were born would be...
-HANZO- Asuka:1994
Ikaruga:1993
Katsuragi:1993
Yagyu:1995
Hibari:1995
Daidouji:1985
Ayame:1995/1996
-CRIMSON- Homura:1994
Yomi:1994
Hikage:1993
Mirai:1995
Haruka:1993
-GESSAN- Yumi:1993
Murakumo:1993
Yozakura:1995
Shiki:1995/1996
Minori:1995
-HEBIJO- Miyabi:1990
Murasaki:1994
Imu:1990
Ryobi:1995/1996
Ryona:1995/1996
Rin:1984
I would like to hear everyone opinion on what year Senran takes place. Unless Marvelous confirm the year... then I made myself look like a fool D:

As far as I'm aware/remember there is no set year, though 2011 feels like it would be a safe guess.

So going by the characters birthday & what you guys say. The year each game takes place in would be...
-Main- SKB=2011 SK2DC=Late 2011 . -Versus- SKSV=Early 2012(Hibari had a birthday event in Hanzo story making her 16) SKEV=Late 2011?(Hibari is still 15 in EV) .
My knowledge of the characters age in SK2DC is very limited due to Xseed cutting the age out in the western release. So I don't know how old Katsuragi is as well Hibari in that game.

Hibari's age in EV was likely a mistake, since other characters who had birthdays between SV and EV had their ages listed appropriately. I don't know what their ages are listed as in SK2, but a decent portion of the game's final chapter takes place on August 16th, indicated by the Daimonji Bonfire that can be seen in the background of the cutscenes.

Ok so putting what you mention together.
SK1B:Early or Mid 2011 SK2DC:August 2011 SKSV:December 2011 to February 2012(Hibari birthday party in Hanzo story) SKEV:Mid 2012(Summer?) . I don't know that much about New Wave so I can't really add it to the list.
If Katsuragi age is listed as 18 in SK2DC & if she is born in November... What a mess. I also got some info wrong in this post, so I will fix it later.

If you want to get even more specific, it's likely that Burst starts around late June at the earliest. Hanzo Academy is explicitly located in Tokyo, and Hebijo probably is as well. Both stories have a scene where the girls go to a beach, and the official swimming season for beaches around Tokyo starts around mid-July. This also lines up with SV taking place 6 months later.
That said, I double-checked and I was wrong, all of the ages listed are the same as they are in SV. Not sure where I got that impression from. So, either they were lazy and got the ages wrong, or EV takes place mere days after SV. It does make some sense; Katsuragi, for example, could've been so excited by their sudden beach trip because it was still in the middle of winter. Because Yumi's birthday is on New Year's Eve, the Ryou-twins' are on January 19th, and their ages are listed the same in both SV and EV, that would point to both games' main stories taking place between those two dates. Strictly speaking, iirc, there's nothing that points to Hibari's birthday being directly tied to the events of SV, nor anything that really suggests it couldn't be after EV, since it was just a side-story in SV...
I personally think it was probably just laziness and not paying attention, but since I can't really think of anything that disproves it, I guess SV and EV taking place in the same 2 1/2 week timeframe is my current theory.

Okay, so that leave us at
-Main Games- SK1B=June/July 2011 Sk2DC=August 2011 . -Versus- SKSV=Late November/Early December 2011 SKEV=Few days/1 week after SKSV .
It might have been laziness & not paying attention. Hopefully, someone with a japanese copy can help us with Katsuragi age in Deep Crimson. If she 18 in DC... Marvelous really did got very lazy with the Senran Characters Bio/Info.

Okay! I'm gonna revive this because I think I've pretty much cracked this open. EV does indeed take place days after SV, as confirmed on the 5th anniversary teaser site. If we assume that the ages in both games are correct, this means that both games take place at some point between February 10th (Yomi's birthday, she's 17 in both games) and the 14th (Minori's birthday, she's 15 in both games). Time is stopped while the girls are off gallivanting in another world in EV, so the fact that the festival takes place over 8 days doesn't contradict this.
We also know that SV takes place about 6 months after Burst. This means Burst is probably around late July to early August. SK2's final chapter is on August 16th, so it can't be later than that, and we know that some time does pass between games, but not exactly how much. I was stuck on that until I realized something important.
Hanzo's final attack on Hebijo was on the night of a full moon.
Looking at a moon phase calendar, I've figured four dates on which that final attack most likely took place:
August 11th, 2011 August 2nd, 2012 July 22nd, 2013 August 13th, 2014 - The least likely, really, since it means Hebijo was rebuilt in...about a day at the most.
