TESO is one of the greatest games ever!! it's seriously underrated just cause the narrow minded fanbase only cares about numbers and offline solo play (even when they are literally connected to online for the entire duration of their console gaming sessions, single player or not) , but it is a masterpiece that surpasses the regular TES games, plus in my opinion has arguably the greatest open world ever crafted.
expansion even releases same month as Stormblood, well I would get both. I hit the content ceiling of things I want to do in FFXIV pretty fast, but with TESO there's no shortage of things to do and places to explore/travel to. the only downside is lack of text chat on console, but overall, it's still very playable and its cool to see what other players are doing, traveling here and there, and making the world more alive, besides the great npcs.
a lot of heart was put into it, and it would've been great if FFXIV had TESO's level of customization, but yea, if we couldn't cover up the pancake asses in FFXIV, I would always be playing TESO instead, lol. (and don't you dare think that I play it for the asses. any self respecting person wants their posterior at an acceptable size.)
I am impressed they are doing pretty well for a buy 2 play game, but the cash shops help, and the game is totally enjoyable without the cash shops, plus it sure is nice not having to pay a subscription fee, besides PS Plus of course.
and it has some things the regular TES games should have too. being so busy playing all sorts of games, I'm organizing room to play more TESO, especially with the Morrowind expansion reveal, I'm more motivated to play more TESO. I'll resub to FFXIV in march, but after beating 3.5 part 2 content, I'll play more TESO.
I got the physical version of TESO, and I like its reversible cover. I should have got the collector's edition, but hey its the game that counts.
