and that's not counting other countries. all developers really should make all their games for females too. they could get more of that 37%+ interested in their games. m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1361967

i think there's maybe more Female Gamer's out there, just that the majority of them that like Gaming don't go about flaunting it, like some who do YouTube/Twitch etc, just my opinion, so what? Girl's play Video Games, just gives a common ground and easy convo starter.
How does one make a game for a female? I assume they like the same games as the blokes, and vice versa probably.

well for starters they can make sure to include female protagonist option as lead character in games.
look at Pokemon, since Crystal it generated even more fans with female protagonist option.
Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates became extra popular with female avatar options
it doesn't need to be an mmorpg nor have multiplayer to have those features (more should learn from The Elder Scrolls like Skyrim).
Yokai Watch actually would have gotten more sales if they added female protagonist on the cover, a lot didn't know there is female lead option unless they saw gameplay of that feature, so the game wasn't marketed fully as it should have.
From Software's DeS, Dark Souls and Bloodborne series is another example how having female protagonist, does make it more welcoming to female gamers.
yea, we can play games that only have guys in them, but it's 2017 and a lot of us are getting fed up with games that only cater to male gamers, when they could be making more money and fans with female gamers having option to play as a cool looking and feminine female lead.
the more a game represents the sexes equally and let the player choose what they want their character to be, that can convince more to get those games. it's really win/win, and it's a shame on those companies that don't see female lead as essential, it's important to have both options, doing so would bring it both demographics.
A game could be the highest rated and highest selling and high awarded game, but it is still not getting even a fraction of the female gamer population if it doesn't have a good female character to play as for the entire game. and a business contradicts itself if it doesn't aim for the highest sales it can get, it can't achieve that without playable female lead included in the spotlight.
it's really common sense. just as there are guys that refuse to play games with only female lead, it's the same vice versa with girls having integrity and standards and won't settle for less than female lead protagonist, that importance is above the quality of the game itself.
A game can't even begin to be fun without good playable female character(s) to play as for the whole game. it's opinion, but it is a FACT for those with that preference.
