This is a thread where I want to gauge everyone's opinion on this whole article that PlayStation life, which was dropped July 11th, where they had discussed the idea of censorship in the Senran games and as we all know much of the fan base has been very vocal about how they wish to not see our beloved series get this treatment and I fully agree as well. I want to start this thread for people to discuss and get some info, if possible, to keep up with this. I suppose I'll start with the convo. I like many of you had read the article and thought really nothing and just wrote it off as click bait. Soon after many people were going around saying this as if was truth. When I saw this my thoughts were: at one point in time Takaki once considered toning down the fan service for the series and really nothing more it didn't really look to be definite. However I did think that there was poor wording in the article that made it look like as if is GOING to happen. I bring this to you guys because after seeing this video I was afraid that someone may have intentionally flubbed this however I am not sure. which is where I want you guys to chime up. sorry for the long ass wall of text but I really wanted to get this out and sorry for poor grammar or punctuation I am really tired as of typing this. Thanks and may you dream of the happiest of boobs!!

I think this is relative. Toning down may means SK7 is closer to SK2 as opposed to EV or PBS. Still be there, but not as much. I'm fine with the series being in that relative spectrum of fan service as I've enjoyed every entry.

As far as general censorship goes I think things being toned down wouldn't be so bad. A fan service level similar to SK2, as I saw stated above, seems like an intelligent choice and one I myself am very fond of. A drop in the need to work on facets of fan service in the series might even have other benefits. It may, for example, even help in the long run allowing more time to be portioned into things like character development, new game play elements, etc. I do believe this toning down however, if it does indeed occur, should be handled patiently and in a reflective manner. I think that in some ways stripping certain bits of content from the product could strip away the series' identity and personality in the process which could as a whole lead to a slightly less interesting final product (I.E. it would still be SK, but not in the SK way so to speak).
On a positive note I wholeheartedly support Takaki and his team on whatever choice they finally make and trust they would know how to handle something of this nature correctly. The team has made good games so far so it is easy to make the connection that they know a thing or two about design philosophy and where they may hope to go in the future both for the SK series and projects beyond.
Outside of that it will just be a waiting game. There really isn't a whole lot we can do about it in the now.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with the Current Sexuality tone of SK and don't think Takaki should tone it down, but keep it to how it is, if people can't see that's there is more the SK Series than just the ladies Bodies then, that's very narrow minded of them, and Takaki shouldn't tone SK down to appeal to them, if people can't take the time to check out SK and not just assume, then they're not worth the time... just my opinion though

Takaki tweeted yesterday that he's not going to tone it down, the tweet showed up in the SIA twitter feed. So I'm not worried about it.

Even though I'm late on the subject, this is something I did really wanna touch on as I did on the FB group and twitter. Lets say they did tone it down a bit - is that so bad? EV had a lot of fairly mindless pandering and fanservice at times. Not that I entirely mind it; I enjoy super light hearted goofy nonsense at times, I can appreciate it.
That said, lets assume they DID tone down the fanservice. For starters, it would probably be something you can toggle off. On top of that, I think its fair to assume it would mostly just be the over the top stuff like certain finishers and maybe certain dressing room features, emphasis on certain. Probably very few. So if, if it ever happens, consider that it probably wont be so bad, and even then, it may help restore the more serious elements that people desire.

Hmmm REALLY ?!?!!? is this true cuz i still dont believe it
so what if he didnt tone it down so WHAT!!! it wont come out of japan cuz of pansy SJW's and feminists that should attack the porn industries then these kind of games if that what they can do then there lame as F#$@ .
lewd humor i dont mind at times and the likes from the game but honestly im one of those people that like these girls for the different arts of fighting style and techniques as well some hidden power stuff for some girls .
i came to this series cuz i love girls in fighting games from KOF - SF - Tekken - BB+GG and some dead or alive so thats why i loved the original 2 games on 3ds the most till this day .
and it had good backstories that can be explored more in my opinion .
but hey sexy girls fighting each other i dont mind .
