Yakuza 5 is the ultimate game in the series! its available on PS3 PSN, and its coming to PS4 2/2020! spoilers the series should make it standard to have at least 5 playable protagonists, with at least one of them female! Yakuza 5 really thinks bigger than the other games, and even though Haruka doesn't use violence, her battle system is so fun (which is amazing, usually its hard to have a entertaining battle system that rivals violence), unique and ground breaking, especially for a open city genre like this series! there's even a unlockable premium adventure mode with unlockable costumes. premium mode is like a really open sandbox mode, all the protagonists are selectable and its up to the player to shape their own fun in the world! it'll be interesting how the remaster turns out, though Im gonna try to get the PS3 version in the meantime! yakuza.fandom.com/wiki/Haruka_SawamuraI also like how the series aims for more realistic looking people/world instead of anime. the industry is flooded with anime, but there's too few good games with art direction and character designs that aim to have more natural and real looking japanese/asian people. the only other series I recall that cherish real Japanese appearance representation, are Disaster Report series, and the original Siren games (1 and 2). Japanese developers should embrace the beauty of real Japanese appearances instead of resorting to anime and ethnic diluted designs. authentic asian appearance is very special!

there are 3 primary ways to play Yakuza 5.
1. get it on PS3 (its still up on PS3 PSN english for about $30)
2. play it on PS4 PS Now (the subscription is I think $10 for a month. its been a while, I beat Atelier Ayesha thanks to PS Now).
3. wait for the PS4 remaster in february 2020 (though I got the PS3 version PSN. can get also the PS4 remaster when it releases).
