I've been watching Neptunia since I first saw it on the uploaded list. To those who remember how I came across Senran Kagura, you may already guess why I knew the name in the first place. Yes, that's right, Blanc/White Heart. That being said, it's an enjoyable title for more than just her. (As far as the one ending goes, huhuhu...)

I decided to play the 3 games before I watch this as I don't think i'm getting the references. I might suggest skipping the first game for now, and waiting to see if NIS America will pick up Re; Birth 1 for the PS Vita. (Reportedly, Re; Birth 1 will be a reboot of the first game's setup, in order to bring it more in line with that in Mk2 and V. At least, the game engine seems to be more V-related, though it remains to be seen how the story elements might be re-jigged.) Lol nepisode i like that. Have you seen the 5th episode? I don't want to say anything if you haven't XP Nep! Or rather, yep. Also, Nepisode 6 is now up. And for now, all I will say is... Nepupu!

An interesting suggestion I've only been able to get mk2 so far so I might slow my search speed down then I might get it anyway to watch the series evolve.

Yeah, I am not going back to the first. I might get the remake for the Vita (assuming Shinovi Versus comes over and forces me to buy one.) if it comes over given improvements I have read.

Why is the first considered not that good, it looked good and going the game length and rough background like it would be good.

It is fine, but given I came in with Mk2 and changes and all were made I am happy they are remaking original to be more like it.

I think it's cause it had a really weird battle system compared too how it is now. From what i herd is when you break the enemy's guard is recovers in real time instead of turns so you had to abuse the skip animation too maximize your damage which is strange. Me myself is waiting for the remake of the first too since i never played it i started with mk2 when it first came out lol.

Ah now that means something to me, I won't want to be encouraged to skip animation or rush in real time unless it was like ffXIII which worked well in my view.

Hey guys im new but im a really Nep-Nep Addict so I can help out on this one. Basically in a nutshell. Nep 1's battle mechanic replies off a guardbreak system and with that system as soon as you guard break a enemy their gauge will steadily increase over time until it's back up to full. The reason why you skip the animation is to maximize the amount of turns or actions you have during the guardbreak because it's in real time.
Generally your going to be using Compa to guardbreak and have Nep Spam Neptune break on everything until they die....rinse, wash, repeat until the game is over.
The battle system to Nep 1 isn't very good in that regard but it should still be played for the simple fact of it's comedy alone.
Also....if your trying to follow Canon....don't The first game is slightly referenced in Nep mk.2 which is essentially a reboot of the franchise. Nep V though is a direct sequel to Mk.2 though.
The Anime is it's own thing for people who are watching it, it's not canon to either of the games, it just makes references to them all....DLC characters included.

So what are you advising? Should i get HN for ps3 or wait for the vita version and start with that instead, I was only intending to get one or the other so i could play my way up to HDV for M-chan? I wasn't plaining to get both unless I found I really enjoyed it.
