Renza took the initiative to contact XSEED and was actually able to have a pretty detailed exhange with them. He wanted me to share their responses with you all, so here they are:
As you can guess, there are a lot of cultural issues that need to be considered when looking into the possibility of bringing over Senran Kagura due to the differences between what's acceptable in Japanese culture versus the US culture, but we will continue to look into the possibility.
Renza responded by exploring the merits of a digital only release. This was their response:
Thank you for the words of support if we decided to do a digital-only release as we know that there's still people out there that refuse to purchase a digital game no matter what the situation.
We will take it into advisement
Rezen then responded with an idea on how they could release the game digitally but still appeal to those that want something physical. Here's the gist of his idea:

This is where their exchange ended. A huge thank you to Renza for sticking through this, he had to wait quite some time in between responses.
What are your thoughts on this?

To make these people who face away from the digital release idea, they should make a it feel a little bit more physical by making Senran Kagura cards(that you scratch the back to reveal a code) that you can buy at gamestops since I know that Walmarts/Targets don't like any anime related products unless it has Bleach/Naruto/OnePiece slapped onto it. Manufacturing these credit card sized cards with SK:burst logo on it shouldn't be that expensive, and I know to manufacture or to generate this codes so that people can download SK:burst after they've bought is expensive, so a retail price of $40 should be able to put off the offset of the cards cost/codes/ and you know localization costs and such. And I know that we already have Nintendo eShop cards to put into our Nintendo eShop accounts and thus may make this idea a little bit absolute. But then again there are more people who would rather pay the full $40 dollars for a game than waste an extra 10 bucks to put fifty bucks into their eShop account just to buy the game.
XSEED responded with:
Those are some interesting points.
The first one is one that we've debated multiple times, as some here believe that changing anything from the original Japanese version counts as "censorship," which would alienate the exact hardcore fans that we would be trying to sell the game to.
The second one about the cards is an interesting idea and one that we hadn't really thought about before. We will keep it in mind.
