I really hope they won't get rid of the gamepad. I have such high hopes for its functionality. ;_; Why?

So seeing that they dropped 3d from the 3ds will people wait out on the wiiu until they drop the gamepad before they pick one up? The 2DS isn't a replacement; It's for toddlers and soccer moms. They can't get rid of the gamepad because having a second screen actually works for Nintendo. I'm sure you would have said the same about a non 3D 3DS before now. This is the problem with being a fanboy of anything you can't put your love aside for real discussion. They are making a non 3DS and the Wii U is getting a price drop it would seem looking at this non bias that the consumer + retailer is forcing Nintendo's hand so thats why I ask do you think we will see this model at a lower price point. the Wii U is still not in the impulse range yet. The for kids argument holds no weight until they announce a release date for japan.

The for kids argument holds no weight until they announce a release date for japan. How am I supposed to respond to this? I'm not being biased if I choose to look at things a different way. They've stated the "it's for kids" thing themselves, you can look it up, them not announcing a Japan release yet doesn't mean otherwise. And I've said nothing against the Wii U's price cut or appeal to consumers, so why are you throwing that out there while you insist on calling me a fanboy? I've stated that having a second screen is more acceptable than stereoscopic 3D, otherwise the DS family would have had trouble catching on.

Because now everything is falling in the same place as the 3DS price cuts were where if consumers and the retailer put enough pressure on nintendo they have to come up with an answer. The answer for more 3DS sales in the US is 2DS. Pressure is being put on to make more money to make up for the Wii u so now they have another system to do that and meet retails needs to move nintendo hardware. Fans and Retail asked for price cuts for Wii U and said much like 3DS they will not get it because they KNOW nintendo will drop the price because of the situation is just like 3DS before the price drop.
So my question was looking at the situation and how nintendo had to fold on these issue is it now more likely there will be another wii u sku with no game pad?
Did anyone think we would get a 2DS and made at such a cheap cost where if they sell just one they are making money.

But, Nintendo may have also pressured themselves into doing this. They saw exclusives + price cut = instant win, and Wii U = 3DS as 3DS = bestseller. To answer your previous question, they were only able to drop the price because they ditched the basic model. Losing the game pad would defeat the purpose of the Wii U and make it look pointless in the the face of the competitors despite it being able to lessen the gap (PS2 to GCN) in terms of raw power.
Speaking of the other consoles, lets compare and discuss games across all 3 platforms to see which line up is more appealing or original and where Wii U's strong points will be during holiday season.

you see that's what I'm talking about I am not talking about there games or there competitors I'm talking simple hardware and how now it seems Nintendo has to bend to retail and consumers more then before. maybe its the time we are in where anyone can say f it and get another product.
