Lets stay positive and assume it was to reorganise the layout and as the WIIU is not new it was going to get the same as other consoles where they have a case to buy the game instead due to space issues. Then once the PS4 & Xbox hype is over then it will go the same and things will even out.

Why did Nintendo even bother with console in the first place? Handhelds are the hype nowadays. See smartphone games that are popping up here and there.

I agree somewhat with Fox here, maybe it is a reorganization of stock. Surly Nintendo would retaliate to this and try to strike a deal with Wal-Mart. This would be a significant hindrance to their holiday games, and they just got a free pass due to the PS4/XBone launch problems.
Tigerfestival, I feel like you always focus on negative Nintendo news, there are plenty of other things going on like the PS4's overheating problems I just spoke of. The boards doesn't need all this doom saying about one console.

I do worry that if Sony and Microsoft make a massive dent in market share these couple of month Nintendo may not recover in the west.
Sorry...I picked a PS4 today so I am part of the issue here. Love my 3DS! I swear!

Poor Wii U...Hopefully Nintendo can fix up the Wii U situation in the future when the time's right.

Love my 3DS! I swear! I always get the underlying suspicion that this article was click bait to stir people up around misinformation. Since this is only Wal-mart, it's only one store. Reports like this aren't coming from Target or Best Buy. On a side note, is your PS4 running fine? Poor Wii U...Hopefully Nintendo can fix up the Wii U situation in the future when the time's right. I know 3D World's gonna be a huge game changer. With Nintendo generating enough buzz, I know this game can fly off the shelves.

How big is wal mart? don't act like you dont know how big the chain is. we know the story we know this is really bad why try and cover what has been happening. just let it be.

Not to be a buzzkill Twintails but Wal Mart is THE world's greatest retail store. Target is nowhere near as big as Wal Mart and Best Buy while being the biggest electronics store, is still not as big as Wal Mart. Wal Mart pulling Nintendo Wii U items from shelves for the competition is a tremendous blow to Nintendo's holiday sales. Also I doubt Super Mario 3D World will save Nintendo. The PS4 and Xbone hype is blocking Nintendo's chances of gaining an install base. If Nintendo had their games ready at the launch of the Wii U, then things would be completely different now. So unless Microsoft turns on all the restrictions after ppl buys Xbone and PS4's start going Kabloowie on everyone, Nintendo isn't likely going to get the consumers they need to put their system on the map.

The WiiU is basically Nintendo's new Gamecube. This doom n' gloom is more of an issue that Nintendo lost all market dominance they had sales wise given that Nintendo sold the most consoles during last gen. What does this mean for the WiiU? Nothing, it's just the new third place console occupying the PS3's place at the beginning of last gen when it crashed and burned during it's first years. Given that the system is still young it's too early to spell doom for the console, it's got plenty of years left and if the PS3 was any indication it's not too late to salvage the console. All the WiiU needs is some quality software, some great deals and then it's ready to be the new underdog console.

Sony follows the modern standards of gaming today, such as online play and an account system. Nintendo however doesn't. They continue to live in the past as many has said. Nintendo refuses to advance in terms of modernization. I'm not saying Nintendo should trash their IP's hell no. You know what just watch Shokio's video, he shares my outlook on Nintendo along with frustration.... Another perfect example why Nintendo will one day fall like Capcom The current mindset that Nintendo has, WILL put them out, unless their willing to stop being stubborn.

Wiiu will fail because 3DS is strong. Nintendo themselfs said they don't need much power and now consoles are like pc and handheld is like console so they don't need more.
