with the recent cross over with Ikkitousen CCG what about a Three kingdoms school... (I may be dreaming at this point but hey)
You could also do a historian style class/group complete with Nero or aurther (sorry for referencing FSN but they are the only one's I can think of at this point)
You could have an all flat -dere group you have Tsundere, DereDere, Yandere, Kuudere, and the ?normal person?
"Mature" group this is a group that is ether older then most, look like they should be older then most, or just want to be older than there current situations for what ever reason.
I hope I was still on topic for this comment.

You were! I dunno how easy to pull off some of those would be (mainly that last one), but I would love a Three Kingdoms team - though it might be easier to pull off a historical team. A descendant of a Three Kingdoms character, a descendant of a Sengoku era character, a descendant of a Roman emperor, etc. That sort of thing.

The reason I went with the older group is because the legendary Ninja for Hebijo and Hanzo, Rin and Daidouji respectively. they are over the age of 23 if I remember correctly and neither has graduated from my memory. Rin faked her death before graduation and Daidouji wants a rematch before graduation. Yet Miyabi and Imu are both 21 so it's possible... just not the Christmas-cake types but that's just me and my thoughts...

Er............. do you people even play? Play what? The game? Whether we do or don't really isn't relevant to the thread, I would think.

It's not like we can't see the cards, read the profiles, and thus come to appreciate what it's doing for the series as a whole despite not being able to play it.

I think they ought to do a group based on birthstones. I don't even know why, but I'd be all for it.
And yes, I occasionally play the game. I'm currently looking for my iPod right now, though... XD

Honestly, I got super excited when I saw this topic. I already came up with over 50 ideas. It's a weird habit.
One idea I had was a cryptozoologically based team. It would include a Grey(alien), mermaid, gorgon, leprachaun, and Bigfoot. Other ideas were a harpy, sea serpent, gargoyle, werewolfe, and so on. Yeah I have a habit for making long lists.

It took me 3 days to remember that someone else already had this idea of cryptozoological creatures being a theme. Akward.
Okay, new idea. Ancient civilizations. Roman, Aztec, Egyptian, Viking, and Zulu. Alternatively, there could also be an Eskimo, Native Hawaiian, and so on.
