Full title: What kind of themes would you like to see in future New Wave teams and characters? But that was too long. Alas!
Anyway, it's a pretty straightforward idea, I think. It's pretty clear most new New Wave teams are based around some kind of theme or another. You have your rocker team (A.R.C. Angels), your idol team (Milky Pop), your transfer student/foreigner stereotype team (Maiougi), your otaku/geek team (Shinozuka Industrial), and so on and so forth. Some teams don't have themes as obvious (and even Hanzo, at least the original group, has their theme of different school uniforms when they transform... which is kind of redundant as we go forward and get tons of new schools added, but hey! they still look good!) as these, but they're there on some level or another.
And that's where we get to the point of this thread. Looking at the existing schools and themes and so on that are already being used in New Wave (and even Senran Kagura as a whole if you want), what kind of new and exciting themes for new five girl teams would you like to see added down the road?
Be as detailed or as vague as you want, though if you start getting into character descriptions, it might be best to move that to a more appropriate thread.
That said, I think I'll start and get the ball rolling here - and also provide some examples!
Things/Themes I'd like to see used in new Ninja Schools/Teams:
Sentai (think Power Rangers if the word "Sentai" means nothing to you)
- They could have fulled covered bodies in their transformed states and all be about fighting for justice and teamwork or something - or put a ninja spin on that. But the important thing is having proper suits, which is something Hisui, much as I love her, sorely lacks.
Classic Western Monsters
- Each individual member could have a transformation based off of a different classic monster (we already have a team doing Japanese ones after all). For example, they could use Dragon, Werewolf, Mermaid, Harpy, and Slime for different and unique concepts.
Classic Western Novels
- Building off of that, there could be a team of literary-themed girls based off of stuff like Sherlock Holmes, The Invisible Man, Frankenstein, Robin Hood, Dracula, and all of that good stuff.
- Imagine the potential of The Invisible Ninja Girl. She could fight with bandages, and when transformed, rather than having to worry about floating censor heads or convenient flashes of light, her model would just disappear except for the bandages wrapped around her. Then make her a pervert for bonus shenanigans!
Fairy Tales
- Japan already loves to use these kinds of things for source material in stuff, so why not ninjas? Grab Alice, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella and we can have ourselves a ninja ball.
Occult
- On the darker side of things, as the series starts getting more and more involved with spooky stuff like monsters, it makes sense that there might be a ninja school that devotes itself to that kind of thing. So why not have a group of girls that are based on different demons/sins? They could have horns and devil wings in their transformations or something to set them apart maybe, I dunno.
Aquatic/Naval
- Basically, somehow put together a team based on being naval ninjas. I have no idea how that would work, but the ocean needs some love too!

Magical Girls
Samurai
... And so on! I think you guys get the idea.
