I just arrived here, and I'm thinking of sticking around, so I might as well. Have quite enjoyed myself reading all the other posts ("oh, the recognition!"), so it'd be nice to share my part! My real name is Thomas (or Tom, see what I did in my nickname? Yes, awful. I know), am from the Netherlands, 20 years old as of now. I'm about 1,97m tall, weighing about 63kg, so yes, I'm about as skinny as a human can healthily be. Dark semi-long, semi-curly hair, blue eyes, and... ehm... that's about it as far as looks go. At this moment I follow a Research Master in Philosophy, specializing in theoretical philosophy (and then mostly epistemology and philosophy of science): started my bachelor at 16, finished it at 19, so that's how I got here. I'm hoping to find a PhD position here, but my chances aren't amazing... Anyway, I live together with my girlfriend who I've been with since I was 16, and lived together with since I was 17. As for personality, I am quite anti-social. Not in the way that I'm silent in group conversations, but in the way that I'd do everything to avoid such a group conversation. Admittedly, if it does come to such a situation, I prefer to stay silent. I've been diagnosed with Autism, which probably explains the above. I would like to follow the others in saying that "if you get to know me, I'm all bubbly and happy and goofy" but I'm not. If you kind of get to know me, I might turn out to be a nice guy who might just be helpful in a tough situation. If you really get to know me, then... well... you'll have to put up with my monologues I guess. XD It all depends on context though, as I am easy to bore the shit out of people with aforementioned hour-long monologues regarding about anything I'm interested in. Which can serve as a nice bridge to my interests! Pffft... Gaming (RPG and fighting games mostly. Recently played Danganronpa, Skullgirls, Blazblue, Hyperdimension Neptunia, and of course Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, and a HUGE Pokémon fan! Started with Gold, played Emerald, and Leafgreen as well (Black or white in emulator), and now recently started again with Y and Omega Ruby), philosophy (obviously), music (hiphop, mostly. I am a huge fan of (let's do some name dropping) Sage Francis, P.O.S, Dessa, KA, MF DOOM, Cannibal Ox, and let's finish with Aesop Rock. I also make my own music, have been working on stuff with an artist from the US since about 2011, we're still figuring out ways to publish that though, so here's a solo track soundcloud.com/soulseeker-2/untitled-session-1-mixdown/s-VVzpH . It's very much lyrics-centered music: "This is my goodbye, or well, I wish that it was\ My heart conflicts with my thoughts, you can't be missed in my cause\ Tch, whatever that may be, I'll be constricting your paws\ Stick to your potions for my suffocating, sickening love\" but if that won't keep you interested, then I think nothing else will), anime (also kind of obviously. It used to be a larger interest, as these days I simply don't have enough time for it, but the most recent animes me and my girlfriend have seen, awaiting Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, are Accel World and Black Bullet, my favourites are probably Chaos;Head, Serial Experiments Lain, and Welcome to the NHK (that suicide episode was too familiar)), aaand... Cardfight Vanguard, which I play with my girlfriend. I think I've gone overboard quite a bit already, but I guess this somewhat covers it...

Welkom my distant Orange cousin!
Finished bachelor at 19? Impressive Tom. Hope you find us a welcoming group and can be comfortable here. I really liked Amsterdam in my time in the Netherlands, beautiful canals and tons of bicycles.
In any event, een prettige dag!

I really liked Amsterdam in my time in the Netherlands, beautiful canals and tons of bicycles. In any event, een prettige dag! First of all: Kudos to me for managing to figure out how to multi-quote here. Second of all: I saw that you have Dutch roots indeed! Funny to see where it all ends up! I myself am from the countryside, so for me, Amsterdam is a huge city, and entirely different from what I'm used to. My place had about 12,000 citizens and was in fact the largest place around, serving as some sort of miniature metropolis. Jij ook een prettige dag gewenst! XD Top notch post atom. I'm glad this thread is being taken so well. You guys were even more detailed than I was, I might have to step it up~ I think the beauty of this thread is the openness it started with. As it shows, a lot of people here have some social issues, from slight awkwardness to extreme social anxiety, but we're all still social humans. So when presented with such an opportunity to, without backlash, really tell a bit of your story, I think it is especially those with social issues that will step up and talk. A great initiative! Perhaps interesting to note here: I got to know my girlfriend at a site like this (anime-centered forum), a Brazilian who ended up moving in with a Dutch guy. Maybe shows the strength of the bonds these things can amount to... or something?

XD I understand, I grew up in tiny town of 2,000 so when I travel for business in places like Chicago or New York City I think "there are more people in this city block than my whole hometown". I do remember riding on a train across Netherlands country side and seeing one of the most beautiful fields ever witnessed, just full of color with flowers everywhere.

Haha yeah it's weird when you realize stuff like that. My girlfriend is from Sao Paulo. There's more people in her hometown than in my whole country! xD

Whoa! I'm actually on the older side of things it looks like, nifty. Then again, that's becoming more and more the norm these days. Some of you guys do have me beat though. Anyway, I'm Seventh! I'm 24, from the US, glad it's not snowing anymore, and I... can't say I have a very interesting backstory beyond that - I do have and like dogs, though! Wasn't born where I live now but I was raised here and I'm doing okay I guess. Past few years have been pretty rough, and I... would have to say better to leave it at that than bring down the thread. Anyhoo, as far as interests, the main one would have to be toku - Kamen Rider is my thing, but Super Sentai is up there too. Think these guys and stuff like it, you've probably seen them around. Karate Bugmen, Japanese Power Rangers, that thing Hisui from New Wave is very clearly a fangirl of, there are many names for it. As for games, Neptunia's probably one of the bigger ones at the moment, but I tend to like a lot - I'm trying to play more Nintendo stuff like Mario and Zelda and I'm also playing a lot of MH3U as well. Soul Sacrifice Delta and Rogue Legacy are some of my favorite games of recent years and I grew up with DBZ and am still pretty fond of it. I'm not as great with watching anime anymore, but I do have random spouts of watching stuff - Jojo (the first season), Kiseijuu, Madoka, and... many things I've already forgotten were some of my more recent favorite shows, and Highschool DxD is a favorite light novel series of mine - so, by extension, a favorite anime. I don't read a lot of VNs, but of the ones I have (F/SN, Umineko, Muv Luv), I've really liked 'em. Basically, I'm not too picky! If I like something, genre be damned, I'll like it - though I have been tending to gravitate more towards lighter stuff like Neptunia and SK recently just on account of it being light and easygoing. That extends to characters too, by the way - I may say stuff like this person was useless in the story or that one was pointless, but in general, it's very, very rare for me to really actually dislike a character, and much more likely for me to like them or, at worst, be neutral. So sorry to the Yumi unfanclub, but I can't join. And as for SK specifically, I got into it (I was aware of it and liked the art I think) after importing SV and then playing Burst, and now I play New Wave every day while looking forward to Estival (and SK2's eventual localization) much like the rest of you guys, though I did decide not to import EV this time.

Share a bit of us? Sure, why not. My name is Adan, a 27 year old guy (you guys are making me feel like and old man) Born, raised and living on one of the biggest cities on the world: Mexico. Currently an archeology undergrad working for the departament of archologic registry, I'm a quiet guy with somewhat of a temper and pretty outspoken about my opinions. This makes me a bit of a loner but I've grown accustomed to it. My greatest passions are the comicbooks (specially the guy on my profile), TV series, surfing the net and of course, Senran Kagura. I enjoy (over) analyzing stuff and discussing my ideas with whoever is willing to listen me. By the way, if you see a Dark_Tzitzimine or Tzitzimine on other board, chances are that is me. And if someone's curious, here's a picture of me.

After all of the long posts you guys are posting I really want to revise my post...
My name is Ayana and I am currently 18 years old while turning 19 on March 26th (coincidentally the day Estival releases). I come out as shy with social anxiety when it comes to talking with people. I will come off as formal and careful with my words so that I won't give off a negative impression to others. Otherwise, if I know you enough, odds are that I may warm up to you and be more loud and snarky like I am with Poog. :3 Currently, I live in Texas and right now it's cold as hell over there but I cannot complain because it can be the hottest state I've ever been in. But anyways, I'm into the Atelier series, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Senran Kagura, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and most of all the Tales series.
Let's see....I've graduated from high school in 2014, Poog and I met last year in November, I'm going to see him again for my birthday, yada yada yada.
Physical Appearance wise I'm 5'2", a bit chubby (I wouldn't say overly definitely lol)
My hobbies include cooking, drawing, sleeping, video gaming, eating, and tumblring. Don't forget anime for I have almost seen 200 anime in total. I'm too much of an introverted person. >> As for cooking, one of my goals in life is to be a chef at a Culinary school. I love trying out different food and I want to travel one day to try out different things as well as some cultures. : 3
And I think that's all you need to know about me. Unless I add more to it... >>
